The East has alot of talented guards. J-will is now one of them if J-will averages around 20 points and 9 assists do you guys think he will make the all star team next season?

Its fanbase isnt it? Yao made it in his first year, why cant J-Dub make it when he's a vet with an And 1 contract? I dont think he'll make it though, a team with 3 all-stars is rare, last time that happened, i dont remember. Walker is also a possible all-star, Wade and Shaq are locks, thats stating the obvious.

I know he has the talent to make it i was just asking if you guys think he will atleast make it as a reserve, this is debatable because the East has some great guards.

Uh 20 Points and 9 APG is HIGHLY unlikely. If you check out the predictions thread, the predictions for him are nowhere near that for him. I have him at 11.4 RPG and 6.5 APG. I don't believe that he'll be an All-Star player either, or one for consideration because the East has a lot of talented guards.

Your right about the points my bad on that 20 points is pretty unlikely, But 9 assists thats possible. Jason Williams is great at setting up people, its hard to say that a good PG like Williams wont get that many assists. He can throw it down to shaq all the time and get some assists, also he gives it to Wade and he'll definitely take care of it, i expect that J-will/Wade combo to be big J-will will probably throw an alley-oops to Wade just about every game. A point guard that good has high chances of getting 9 assists with a poopload of stars that can score on his team.

No chance, he won't make it over Kidd, Iverson, Arenas, or Marbury.

AI, Lebron(not sure if he's balloted as a guard), Jason Kidd, Arenas, Marbury, Wade, Pierce, and even Michael Redd are guys that will get an all star spot than J-Will whether it be in votes or as a reserve. Like Banks said, 20 PPG and 9 APG is unlikely especially when you got guys like Shaq, Wade, and Waler on your team taking X amount of shots.

IMO, he wouldn't make it over guys like Joe Johnson, Steve Francis, and Jamaal Tinsley.

Add Bibby to that list, he is under-rated and deserves to be an all-star soon enough.

shootingmachine, read other posts in the thread so you know what is going on. I like J Will but he aint gonna make it. The guards will probably be AI, Bron, Pierce, VC, and Wade.

My thoughts precisely. You can add Rip Hamilton, Larry Hughes, Ricky Davis, Ben Gordon, and Stephen Jackson to the list of players who would get in over J-Dub.

I don't think he'll make it, but he could, if he has a stellar season leading up to the ASG. If any guard really belongs in the ASG, it's deftitneley JWill.

Jason Williams can make it if he has a Steve Nash-type year. I think that's very possible since he's surrounded with similar offensive talent that Nash is . Plus he's just as flashy.

^ big difference. Nash was an all-star before he went to PHO, williams has never been an all-star.

no, J-Will wont make it...he needs to average around 16 ppg, 8 apg to be a contender as an AllStar participant...his numbers will likely be more around 10-12 ppg and 4-6 apg...

What if JWill makes the highligts so much and averages 8 plus assists? I know JWill would be at home in an ASG, throwing elbow passes and whatnot. Screw every other guard in the east, I want JWill to be the PG and Bibby the West PG. That there would be one cool matchup.

nash was an all star before he was in PHO, meaning we know he has all-star talent. J-will, has never been an all-star. therefore we know he doesn't have all-star talent. no way he'll get in

The Heat do not play an uptempo style the way the Suns do. JWill is not as efficient as Nash is either, and won't have the same opportunities to create offense. Dwayne Wade is going to initiate most of the offense for the Heat.
