<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Heat4Life:</div><div class="quote_post">Jason Williams can make it if he has a Steve Nash-type year. I think that's very possible since he's surrounded with similar offensive talent that Nash is . Plus he's just as flashy.</div>

haha smh at you overly excited heat fans....you guys will lose in the east finals again and shaq and antiones knees will ruin your season....and if j will couldnt be an all star on teams with less talent whhere he had more room to be the show what makes you people think he can be an alstar on a team like this....smh....Detriot >>Heat [IMG]

No. He wont. The East is filled with more talented guards and Wade will be the main attraction in Miami.

These are the guards that will make the East.

    1. A.I ( a given)
    2. Wade (a given)
    3. Arenas (without Hughes, I think he'll have a bigger season)
    4. James (a given)

Same roster from last season. No way will Jwilliams sneak into the all star game with that caliber of talent at guard in the East.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting lessthanjake:</div><div class="quote_post">nash was an all star before he was in PHO, meaning we know he has all-star talent.</div>That's not what I meant. I meant if he has a year where he makes a lot of flashy plays and racks up a lot of dimes, like Nash for example last season now that he's surrounded with all this offensive talent, then it's possible he could make it.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">J-will, has never been an all-star. therefore we know he doesn't have all-star talent.</div>Steve Nash never had any MVP talent but that didn't stop him from winning it. As long as the voting is up to fans or media then there's always going to be retarded selections made. Point in case Steve Nash.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Buckets:</div><div class="quote_post">Its fanbase isnt it? Yao made it in his first year, why cant J-Dub make it when he's a vet with an And 1 contract? I dont think he'll make it though, a team with 3 all-stars is rare, last time that happened, i dont remember. Walker is also a possible all-star, Wade and Shaq are locks, thats stating the obvious.</div>
last year the wizards would of had 3 if hughes didnt get hurt rite b4 the weekend

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">The Heat do not play an uptempo style the way the Suns do. JWill is not as efficient as Nash is either, and won't have the same opportunities to create offense.</div>Cmon man, you're here talking about effeciency. It's the friggin All-Star Game! Vince Carter had a pretty crappy year as a Raptor and was one of the leading vote getters.

I'm going to say it once again so everybody understands.

    Assuming these factors play out:
-He makes a lot of flashy plays and highlight reels this season (very likely)
-He gets a lot of assists (very likely)

There's a possibility (not a guarantee and nowhere near it) that he could make the ASG.

    Once again:

Flashy plays + Assists = a <u>possibility</u> of making the ASG

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Dwayne Wade is going to initiate most of the offense for the Heat.</div>While I do think that Wade should've been the PG and we should've added a SG that has playmaking skillz, a lot of the responsiblity of initiating the offense is going to be taken off Wade's shoulders.

The Heat got J-Will for 3 main reasons:
    1) To add a pure playmaker to the team and a guy that specializes on running an offense
    2) So that he can create plays for Shaq like Steve Nash does for Amare Stoudemire
    3) So Wade can focus more on scoring (which I don't like at all if it's in the halfcourt set) and allowing him to use his athleticism more to get out and run on the fast break.

Anyways, why do you think they would get a pure PG if they were going to have him playing the role of a SG?

The All Star Game Starters is a popularity contest, whether you like it or not. VC CERTAINLY hasn't been all star worthy a LOT of those years, but he was going to start instead of JORDAN?? QUE??

So, if Jason Williams throws enough flashy passes to Shaq, no matter how bad his stats may be, there is a possibility...but then again..Wade and Allen Iverson are way more popular...or LeBron James if he is put as a guard, so it's almost impossible for Jason Williams to win THAT popularity contest.
