Sheldon Brown is not the most underrated player in the NFL. He is a good corner but not elite. He is considered a good corner. As for the most underrated player in the NFL hmmmmmm that is a tough question. Trent Green is very underrated at the QB posistion. Hines Ward is very underrated as well.
I like Hines Ward as the most underated player. All he does is come out ever sunday and does everything that is asked out of him. Steelers need to give him a huge contract because he desevres it. Because without Ward the Steelers are gonna struggle a lot at WR
The NFL's most underrated player is Curtis Martin. He is flashy or mouthy. He simply goes out on the field and produces consistantly.
Sheldon brown is a good choice, which is weird since the guy on opposite side of the field is SOOOO overrated.
QB - Rex Grossman CHI RB - Tiki Barber NYG WR - Jerry Porter OAK TE - Randy McMichael MIA OL - Orlando Brown BAL DL - Darren Howard NO ILB - Napoleon Harris MIN CB - Sam Madison MIA S - Dwight Smith NO or Mike Brown CHI Coach - Jeff Fisher TEN

He also has had 10 consecutive 1000+ seasons, and hes played 10 years in his career. i think u meant that hes NOT flashy or mouthy cause hes not. Everytime this discussion comes up i say this. Its not much of a contest he gets almost zero credit.
yea Curtis Martin is underated, he doesnt get the respect that he deserves. I think the underated players are the players that dont make a lot of news like TO. As for WR also Marvin Harrison, and Torry Holt. Those guys arent as underated as Hines Ward, but those guys get it done and dont get the respect they need
I too, was going to pick Martin. I do think Trent Green is a little under rated based on his numbers; but I also believe he benefits from a great offensive system. If he had any WRs, he would be lethal.

As much as I hate the Jets (in the healthy rivalry sort of way), I have a mountain of respect for Curtis Martin. He's a consummate professional.
yea i knew it was a typo, i'm glad people have respect for Martin even if ur a Phin fan u can have respect for him
I wouldn't say he's the most underrated NFL player, but I think Warrick Dunn is pretty underrated. He goes out on the field and plays the game without any BS. He's a pure class act and a great little RB. I also have to agree about Martin, he's very underrated as well. Its a real shame that there are great players in the NFL who just don't get the attention because they're actually decent people.
Seriously all the loudmouths like Moss and T.O get all the attention and class acts who are just as good if not better like Martin, Dunn, and so many others are out there.
The players that never get in the news for the wrong reasons, people forget about. Lots of people that dont watch the NFL know about TO and Moss because they are all over the news with holdouts and huge celebrations.
hmm most underrated players... QB- Kerry Collins RB- Rudi Johnson... WR-Hines Ward TE- uh...no clue DL- Justin Smith...my gosh i can't emphasize that enough...
QB-Marc Bulger RB- Jamal Lewis DL- Mike Rucker CB-Chris Gamble in madden, him and Dunta Robinson should be the same rating in 06
I would say Daunte Culpepper is the most underrated player in the NFL. He's arguably the best QB (just look at his stats) and yet no one gives him the props he deserves.
