Don Banks said, in his article on the Sports Illustrated website, "Funniest sight I saw at Bills camp came after Monday afternoon's practice, when free-agent quarterback Tory Woodbury couldn't resist grabbing a Coy Wire bobblehead doll (they make those?) from a fan and holding it up next to Wire's face to compare the likeness as a slightly chagrined Wire signed autographs. Sometimes you forget there's still a lot of little boy in most NFL players."

I must admit that the first question that popped into my mind was, "Who in the blue blazes is Coy Wire." (The second question was, "Who in the blue blazes is Tory Woodbury? But, let's not digress.) I looked up his career stats at NFL.com and realized I hadn't missed much. He's played three years and has 0 interceptions. That's right. Zilch! But, a Bills fan still laid down green for his bobblehead doll. I guess you can't blame the godfathers of football industry for making the doll when they know that a Bills fan and his money are soon parted. I just wonder how many Bills fans have parted with 70 dollars of cold hard cash for this?

I am glad you got to this in the second paragraph, because those were the two questions in my mind.

I'll bet you anything that it was some chicks - Coy Wire was a model and did some acting too (only commercials though). And he's got a clothing line for charity.

But now he's a good special teams player (not saying much, but he did contribute to the leagues best special teams unit).
