http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentSe...tarSource=email I think anyone, except the newly signed Raps and Bosh are expendable if the Raps decide to get another guy for that last 15th spot. I believe they should, especially with an injury-proned roster that they have. I think that they should find another PG, just in case.
What about trading Bosh and Jalen Rose to Sactown for Peja, Corliss Williamson and Kenny Thomas. Would you guys do that? Just a suggestion.
Not a chance. Bosh isn't going anywhere. I honestly don't think there is anyone in the league I would trade Bosh for if I was the GM. Not even Shaq Daddy.

Alvin Williams isn't injury prone, he is just chronically injured because he played through minor, healable injuries. Bosh isn't injury prone, nor is Rose or Peterson. The only injury prone guy we had on the roster last season was Vince Carter. Don't worry about whether we have the last 15th spot empty or not, because teams can carry more than 15 players into the training camp and that's about 2-3 weeks away. Jalen Rose trade scenario with the Lakers make even more sense in this case, because we get three expiring contracts that can all be waived or bought out for reasonable amounts. If the trade falls through, I see us buying Divac out and waiving Medvedenko, keeping Devean George. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting shootingmachine:</div><div class="quote_post">What about trading Bosh and Jalen Rose to Sactown for Peja, Corliss Williamson and Kenny Thomas. I'm excited to see Calderon's game and maybe he can become the starting PG for the Raps as well. I love Jalen Rose, but if we have to trade him in order to clear cap space for the future, then yes, I would go through with the Lakers trade. Nobody is going to take CB4 - he's going to have an amazing career in Toronto.

I would take garnett+dirk+king james+wade+amare+marion (he is underrated but i would say he has the slight edge over bosh because he defends better+blocks+has the range)+duncan over bosh. Bosh is good, but not great...and certainly not the so-called "i wouldn't trade him for anybody in the league" type of player expect him to be like that for the rest of his career....you know...a career 18-20ppg guy and 8-10 rebounds.

His impact comes from more than just stats, you have to realize what he does for a team. He can still score 25+ PPG is he wants, but he's concentrating on winning, not putting up numbers.

Umm...no. Same with a few of those guys..they're better overall but are aged so its not a fair comparison. Toronto wouldnt trade Bosh for Duncan because they're not gunna win even with him so why do it for 2 years of mediocrity when you can keep Bosh and have another Garnett for years and years to come. Bosh is very good, not great yet..but look at his age man! I think when you factor in his skills, his personality and his age he is one of the "i wouldnt trade" guys. I dont know how you can say 18-20ppg 8-10rebs for the rest of his career...he's over the bottom end of that rebounds stat line already at only 21 and not far off in points playing with more than a few chuckers. There's no reason he cant have as successful a career stat wise as Garnett. He has all the tools, the drive and the passion. Bosh for the win!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting McGrady^1:</div><div class="quote_post">Carcharias you are crazy... you wouldn't trade Bosh for Lebron ? or maybe even wade?</div> I should rephrase my original statement. I wouldn't trade Bosh for any player, but that is mainly because I am a huge fan. Now if I WERE the GM of the Raps, the two above mentioned I would MAYBE trade him for, but that's still just a maybe.

First of all, you're right...nobody is an untouchable simply because it's a business. The fact that you compare Duncan to Bosh is ridiculous. First off, Bosh has only been in the league 2 years and is still growing and getting better each game. By the time he gets more experience, I believe he can one of the NBA's elite. 18-20PPG for a PF doesn't sound too shabby, neither does 8-10 rebounds. How many double-doubles did he have last season? That was only his second season in the NBA. Also, he was robbed of the Rookie All-Star MVP...that game was all his.
Bosh had 36 double doubles (team high) or somewhere around that neighbourhood. That's incredible for a sophomore NBAer.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting VinKanaddy:</div><div class="quote_post">Bosh had 36 double doubles (team high) or somewhere around that neighbourhood. That's incredible for a sophomore NBAer.</div> Exactly, thank you. Bosh is a future All-Star.

He can do the 22-23 PPG, 10+ RPG thing, but his game won't resemble KG's by any means, and he doesn't have the same playmaking, ball handling, or passing ability that KG has. Bosh will be like a JO, except less post, more face-up and mid-range, while being a better passer.
I forgot who said but didn't someone say Bosh was the 2nd best PF in the Eastern conference next to Jermaine O'Neal, cuz right now i cannot think of another better PF than JO/Bosh in the East. Chances of Raptors trading Bosh are slim to none unless u get one incredible offer. Hopefully Raptors will waive/trade Aaron Williams/Lamond Murray or Eric Williams cuz none of those guys are getting any playing time. Also hoping Raptors to sign Jay Williams. Doesn't hurt to give him a try.
^ Last year Jamison would've been better, and so would Webber except for his horrible defense. Rasheed Wallace was also still better because he's a superior defender, better offensive player than his numbers show, but his rebounding is ugly for a guy so tall and athletic.
I think its really a bias thing determining the 2nd best PF in the east. Bosh arguably is, but if Jameson didn't get injured he would be a notch above Bosh. However with his knee injury, and if Bosh continues to improve I would say that Bosh could be 2nd best. Unless we were to get Duncan or Shaq, which are guaranteed championship contension. I would rather stay loyal to CB4 and develop a solid team around him.
I'm very optimistic to see how well Bosh develops. He won't be like KG or JO, but maybe better. Bosh has got to work on his dribbling more (so hard for big men), but I remember when he schooled Garnett last year off the dribble. I was like, "Ok, give this guy MVP right now." Forget Sheed, Bosh is 2nd best and maybe this year, will be #1.
