<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">For Brevin Knight, the question of staying or going never really even existed. Even though the 5-10, 170-pound point guard was an unrestricted free agent following an impressive 2004-05 season with Charlotte, he never questioned whether or not he would be a member of the Bobcats in 2005-06. He solidified that stance on Friday, when he re-signed with Charlotte. "It feels great to finally know that I'm going to be here, even though that was always the plan," Knight said. "I really liked the organization, the team and the players that we had here last year. I felt comfortable here. I definitely want to open up the new arena. I think that will be a lot of fun and really be the grand opening for the Bobcats. To finally have it done in ink is a great feeling, and it's time to move forward now." For Knight, returning to Charlotte was simply a matter of loyalty and opportunity. A little over a year ago at this point, Knight was unsure where his future in the NBA might be heading. After averaging 7.2 points, 6.1 assists and 2.6 rebounds in his first seven years in the league while playing for six different teams, Knight was on the free agent market looking for a place to play. There was not a long line of suitors vying for Knight's services, and until the Bobcats signed him to a one-year deal on August 31, 2004, it looked as if his professional career might be coming to an end. "(The Bobcats) were committed to me when no other team was committed to me," Knight said. "Last summer, a lot of teams said I was done in this league and that I couldn't play here. (Bobcats Head Coach & General Manager) Bernie (Bickerstaff) gave me a chance."</div> Link
This is good news for the Cats, he had a great year last season I thought, he was dishing out assists like they were presents at christmas time. And like mentioned above, he'll be a good tutor for Raymond Felton.
