<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Pistons are out of free-agency shopping mode, thanks to adding experienced center Dale Davis to the roster. Davis agreed to a two-year, $7 million contract Monday, taking the Pistons' last open spot. So what is the next order of business? Starting negotiations with forward Tayshaun Prince's agent regarding a long-term deal. "It's certainly on our radar for priority," said John Hammond, the Pistons' vice president of basketball operations. "We'd like to get something done by training camp." Hammond and Joe Dumars, president of basketball operations, hope to start talking to Prince's agent, Billy Duffy, in the next few days. Prince will earn $1.7 million next season, the final year of his rookie contract. He will be a restricted free agent next summer. </div> Source
Yeah hopefully we can keep him, he's one of my favourite players, and he's a great addition for our team, one of the reasons why our defense is so up to scratch.
Amazing thing is If Tay become a free-agent I wouldn't be surprised If he got the max. Thats how things have gotten in this league lately. So It's Dumars job to make sure they can get an extention done quickly and avoid a Joe Johnson situation.
