<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Pistons may have found a back-up for small forward Tayshaun Prince.

The team is expected to make a multi-year offer to restricted free agent guard Maurice Evans.

The deal will be around $1.5 million per year. But the Pistons will have to wait on Evans, as the Kings will have seven days to match the offer.

Evans' agent, Roger Montgomery, did not return interview requests Wednesday morning.

Evans, who stands 6-5, 220 pounds, would provide some back-up for Prince. He's known for playing aggressively and using his strength.

Prince averaged around 40 minutes per game in the regular season and playoffs last season, wearing him down near the end. Having somebody to help take the load off Prince could make him fresher for the long playoff grind.

Evans, 26, has taken a twisty path to the NBA. He left the University of Texas after his junior year in 2001, hoping to be drafted. It didn't happen. </div>

This is going to be a steal for the Pistons. I remeber reading somehere that the Kings had no intrest in bringing him back, so it's very likely he will be a Piston. Well anyays this guy is a athletic freak and reminds me a lot of Josh Smith and should be a valuable weapon for the Pistons. Really good pick-up.

Mo Evans reminds me of Desmond Mason. He is an amazer energy guy who will get stick backs and from what I saw can hit the 15-18 footer quite consistantly.
