It appears that the Pacers are trying to trade away Artest, and the Knicks seem like the best suitors.
Who would you guys trade for Artest?

To get Artest the would have to trade Starbury or Qrich and some other things.

The Pacers are interested in cutting their cap space, they would not want Stephon Marbury. The Pacers would be interested in the Knicks expiring contracts (Penny Hardaway, Tim Thomas), and probably their cheap young players including Sweetney, Ariza, Frye, Lee, or Nate. The Pacers will also want to dump Croshere, Bender, or Pollard for anyone who wants Artest.

I honestly don't see the Pacers trading Artest to another team in the East. Especially a team capable of facing them in the post-season this year or next.

It's weird. I had a dream that Artest was traded to the Knicks in June. Then today, I was day dreaming and I saw on Hoopsehype: Artest A Knick. Weird, huh? Anyway, as shape said, the Pacers would want some cap space and someone like TT who can actually play will fit well with them.

    Stupid media.

What crap, this rumor started the second he was suspended. No chance, ok? Don't get your hopes up.

    Ridiculous.

I would like it from a Knicks fan point of view if I don't have to give up either Q-Rich, Marbury, or Sweetney and just Tim Thomas/Penny Hardaway plus drafts picks you can just dream about this:

    PG - Marbury
    SG - Q-Rich
    SF - Artest
    PF - Sweetney
    C - Frye

    Wow.

Meh. Frye probably won't start under LB.

    No trade is gonna happen.
But haha, I'd give up Sweetney, Q-Rich or Marbury for Artest (if it were possible I'd trade all three for him [IMG]). Artest is better than all three of them.

I'd rather see Artest play for the Lakers.

This is as ridiculous as the rumour that has Kevin Garnett going to the Lakers.

    But crazier things have happened.
