Wow. Better then Jermaine O'Neal. Kwame hasn't reached his potential yet and he will improve but I don't think he will ever be as good at O'Neal. Jermaine is a perenial All-Star and comparing the two sets some very high expectations for Brown.

If you compare Kwame Brown to Jermaine O'Neal according to his first four season in the league then Kwame has the upper hand by a big margin. Kwame's first four years in the league have been better than Jermaine's were. Kwame is a better scorer than Jermaine was and could possibly turn out to be a better player than Jermaine is. I'm gonna have to side with lakerman34 on this one.

Are you sure you're looking at the stats properly?

Kwame MPG: 14.3 | 22.2 | 30.3 | 21.6
JO MPG: 10.2 | 13.5 | 8.6 | 12.3

Points PER 40 Mins
Kwame: 12.6 | 13.3 | 14.4 | 13.0
JO: 16.1 | 13.3 | 11.6 | 12.7

Kwame's first 4 years have been better because he's played more MPG, not because he's really put up better numbers. He hasn't shown to be a better scorer yet, but he's had flashes. JO also had slightly better Rebounds PER 40 numbers every year in their first 4 years, and was a better shot blocker [Kwame isn't much of a shot blocker anyways so..]

If Kwame is on the Lakers, he won't get better than JO. He can be a good player, but he won't get enough shots, and a big enough of a role to put up 20-10 numbers.

shaun livingston 6-8 pg is unheard of. This guy will get it this year or next b/c cassel will be retarded and make himself start over him

stromile swift will be good and will be a little over rated because when ur beside yao the lane will be virtually closed. this is why im worried about the rockets peremet defense with all their undersized gaurds.

Dalembert- I think he will become a top 5 center within 2 years, steadily progressing over that span.
Swift- Gets to start, will do well when Yao is double teamed, I see him improving his stats quite a bit.
Pietrus- If he keeps playing like he did at the end of last year he will be in the running for 6th man of the year (if he doesn't take Dunleavy's job by then)
Livingston- Already has great court vision and gets to play alongside Maggette, Brand, Mobley, and Kaman. I believe he will be the starter before the all-star break if he isnt the starter from the beginning of the season.

1. Dalembert - I expected him to breakout this past year, but JOB had wacky rotations. I expected him to average around 11/11/2.

2. Shaun Livingston - If he can stay healthy, he will put up great numbers as he did when he was a starter. Cassell will probably start at the beginning of the year, but Livingston should be a starter by no later than the All-Star break.

3. Sebastian Telfair - Can't believe he hasn't been mentioned already. He will be a starter and already has great courtvision. If he can get that jumper down, he will be lethal.

Sleeper picks: JR Smith, Chris Kaman, and Stromile Swift.

How about Darko Milicic...I'm sure if he's given minutes then he'll be a beast. Yes, Stromile Swift and Kwame Brown will do well.

Um maybe not break out but I think Pau Gasol will have a great year...cause of the loss of Jason Williams and Posey....

but breakout wise...I think Ben Gordon will breakout...

To name a few players whom I think will break out: Caron Butler, Samuel Dalembert and Joe Johnson. I believe that the Caron Butler trade is kind of a sleeper in these years off-season for the Wizards. Butler is a nice replacement for Hughes and I think if he gets enough shots he could average around the same ppg. Sam Dalembert should be breaking out sometime soon, I expected it to be this past season but JO really stunted his growth throughout some parts of the season. Hopefully Dalembert fits better in Mo Cheek's defensive system, because O?Brien?s definitely didn't work for him. I think JJ will make a nice fit in ATL, they have Harrington and Smith, and guys who are slashers, but then you add in Johnson a guy who can do a little bit of both and I think he can do very well.

I forgot to mention I also believe that Josh Howard will come up next year, expect him to average around 15-20 points a game. With Finley's departure he should have to step up his game some, so I definitely think he has a chance at breaking out next season.

I think Butler will do good, but he's not that dynaminc an offensive player. He won't get enough shots to average 20+ PPG because while Hughes is gone, Jared Jefferies is also being replaced in the starting lineup by Butler which then puts AD a bigger offensive threat than Jeffereis in the starting lineup.

Caron should average about 17-18 PPG next season though.

While Josh Howard is a nice player, I think the range is too far. 20 PPG would be a huge jump from his previous average of 12.6 PPG. In the playoffs his highest series PPG was 17.7 PPG against the Suns, and that is about the max range I see for him. Likely in the 15-17 PPG range for next season depending on how much of an offensive role Marquis Daniels get's, and we also can't forget Van Horn and Stackhouse are still there.

Darko baby! LOL actually with dale davis there hw ill probably get less playing time thenb before.

Actually if the ents keep Sam clancey on their roster I think they will get a big surprise from him. I think he can get a lot of minutes for them and put up some great rebound #'s and decent point's.

I think Shaun Livingston will really start to show some talent and class.
Kwame Brown should really step up this year also.
Sammy Dalembert and Iggy from the Sixers should really make serious contributions. Ben Gordon should continue his growth and improvement.
Some others i think will have breakout years are: Jameer Nelson, Josh Smith, Sebastian Telfair, Stromile Swift, JR Smith and Marko Jaric.
Rookies that will have good first years will be Bogut, Marvin Williams, Chris Paul and Deron Williams with Raymond Felton and Sean May putting up solid numbers at Charlotte.

Ben Gordon will be good. If the Baby Bulls stay together in two years or so they might be a legit title contender.

LMAO....lmao..

I happen to agree about Dalembert and JR Smith, BDiddys gone, more scoring opportunities for JR. Plus, he raised his scoring every month of the season last year.

Quoting lakerman34:

Since I'm a die hard Laker fan, I'm goin w/ Kwame Brown. I think he can be even better than Jermaine O'Neal.

IMO, I can't see the 'thrill' of Shaun Livingston that everyone else does. Yea, he's 6'8 and a PG, but he's not even 200 pounds. Kidd and Billups would whip him around like a rag doll if they were to post up. I'm not jumping on the bandwagon, because I don't want to get my hopes up for a Magic-like PG then be disappointed because he can't stay healthy or what have you.
