<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> I think Butler will do good, but he's not that dynaminc an offensive player. He won't get enough shots to average 20+ PPG because while Hughes is gone, Jared Jefferies is also being replaced in the starting lineup by Butler which then puts AD a bigger offensive threat than Jeffereis in the starting lineup. Caron should average about 17-18 PPG next season though.</div> Wait, would you clarify this for me? I didn't get half of what you said. Isn't the starting lineup of Washington going to be something along the lines of Arenas, Butler, Jamison, Jeffies, Haywood? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Actually if the ents keep Sam clancey on their roster I think they will get a big surprise from him. I think he can get a lot of minutes for them and put up some great rebound #'s and decent point's.</div> ...Sam Clancy isn't even in the league anymore. He plays NBDL ball.
^ What he said.... I'd expect the scoring to go something like this: Arenas: 25 PPG Daniels: 11 PPG Butler: 17 PPG Jamison: 21 PPG Haywood: 9 PPG Hayes: 10 PPG Jeffries: 6 PPG Atkins: 6 PPG That adds up to 105 PPG. Not everyone is going to be playing 82 games, and the other players will score the rest.
I was gonna say something about putting arenas at 25ppg, but I checked and to my great surprise he averaged it last season. For some reason I thought he was a 20-21 point scorer.
Yea, he actually averaged more last season, but Jamison and Hughes got injured, so this year I expect Jamison to go back to iron man status which will tkae off Arenas' extra 0.5 PPG lol
I think Sebastian Telfair might break out. Portland is surrounding him with some good young talent, and despite them trying to roadblock him with Jack, I think he's going to start making a big name for himself this year.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">PG-Daniels SG-Arenas SF-Butler PF-Jamison C-Haywood</div> At this point, I really don't think Jamison is capable of playing powerforward. He has that bad leg and everything, plus I really can't see him bang down low for rebounds. Did he play some powerforward last year as well?
^ He started at PF last year and played it for most of the year, he also played PF in Golden State on year back in the day. He's not really a PF, but what choice do we really have, just putting the best players on the floor, and Caron also isn't really a SG so...
Im going to go with Dwight Howard. The Magic are going to be real nice in a couple years because of this guy. I predict he'll show much improvement next year, and in a couple years time he'll be an elite player at his position.
In my opinion the following guys will have breakout seasons: Shaun livingston- I honestly thnkthis guy has potential in him and i can guarantee that if he did not get Injured last season he would have made the Rookie All-NBA Second or even First Team. If he starts over Cassell(Which i think he should) he should show great improvements. Luol Deng: Played Solid before Injury Chris Bosh: CB4 is gonna have a breakout season, he has been working hard this summer and he will improve a lot! I honestly think he is like KG. They both averaged the about the same numbers their first two seasons and their third season was a breakout. Kwame Brown: Phil Jackson is gonna straight him up
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GiantMidget:</div><div class="quote_post">^Shaun Livingston on the All NBA first/second team ? slap yourself</div> Rookie All-NBA....
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Banks:</div><div class="quote_post">Rookie All-NBA....</div> I'm insulted, he was okay but there's no way he would have displaced Jameer Nelson, even without getting injured, nelson, despite being head and shoulders shorter is just head and shoulders above Livingston in terms of playing abillity. But there really was no pure PG on the all rookie first team was there?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheTruth5:</div><div class="quote_post">I think Joe Johnson will have a breakout year, along with Al Jefferon, JR Smith, and Telfair.</div> I hope people really don't get their hopes up about Telfair, I see him coming around in around 3 years, but you can't expect Iverson-like numbers ever coming from him. He'll be a solid distributor, but I see him like Rafer Alston almost.. And someone please tell me what the hype is about Mister Livingston, I have nothing against him, seeing as how the only thing I know about him is that he's 6'7 and 185.

He only played 30 games and started 15, so they do affect his stats, while Jameer Nelson played 79 games, so his adjustment period is hardly noticable in his season numbers. Amazing court vision and ball handling ability, and has already shown great leadership as a rookie in the PG role.
Michael Pietrus Sasha Vujacic Ben Gordon Chris Paul will average 18.0 in rookie year Kareem Rush will break out offensively Curtis Borchardt Bobby Jackson in Memphis? 18 and 7 assists Marko Jaric will have good assists when you have KG to finish Devin Brown in Utah will score Also Dikembe Mutombo: I think this guy could be special
Tyson Chandler- He got a big contract so I would expect nothing less from him than a break out season. His offensive game is unpolished, but I think he will average around 14-15 points per game this season. As he makes some strides on that end of the court, and he will excel in the rebounding, and shot blocking departments averaging around 11-12 rebounds and about two blocked shots a game. I think this will be the first season in which he really establishes himself and sets a foundation for the future of the Bulls. Ben Gordon- I don?t know if their has ever been a guy who has won sixth man of the year, and most improved player in back to back seasons, but Gordon might be able to do it. He averaged a good amount of points last season, and he played limited minutes due to his problems with endurance he got tired quickly if he played to many minutes so we had to save him for the fourth quarter. We no longer have that problem this year he might very well start, and average around 22 points a game. Samuel Dalembert- A lot of people are sleeping on him, but similar to Chandler he got a big deal this summer so if he does not have a break out season something has to change within the front office. SD is a great shot blocker, but JO?s system really hindered his development last season. He performed well under Ayers and Ford because they ran systems similar to Larry Browns?, which is something Cheeks will likely due, since he was an assistant to Larry at one time. Andre Iguodala- He will average around 16-17 points a game this season he might average around 19 should Webber go down with a injury which is a very realistic scenario. He already ahs the hardest part of the NBA game down which is defense, and I believe he trains with Kobe, and other big name superstars who are represented by the same agent he is during the offseason so chances are he has improved his defense as well. Jameer Nelson- I expect to average around 15 points a game as a full time starter for the Magic this season. This kid is going to be special I have followed him since his first game at St. Joes, and he is one of the main reasons I am a Magic fan. He will make every team who passed on him regret it. Stromile Swift- I think he will thrive in Houston his athletic ability seems to fit along well with the Rockets style of play. Him and Tracy on those open court fast breaks will be a beautiful sight. Finally my bold prediction Darko Mililic under Flip Saunders will finally prove he was worth that second overall pick average around 14 points this season as he begins to become a good NBA player.

Wow, that's interesting...
