With Five PG's on the team and Delonte being one of them I dont see him getting too much playing time, even if they cut 2 of them or swing a trade they'll still have 3 PG's left, I think it's another season of sitting for Delonte. Gomes will probably fetch the most, and he may or may not be an all-rookie selection only because of his role on the team. As of now, I can only see that role as being somewhat limited thanks to the presence of other, longer tenured players on the team. Fact or Fiction - Big Al is the most instrumental piece in the Celtic puzzle. Does his development trump the need for significant contributions from other rookies, or even other big men?
Fiction. Even with all the trade rumors, Paul Pierce is the most instrumental piece in the puzzle. Even then, I would go number two with Ricky Davis and Al would be a close third. Fact or fiction, Ryan Gomes will be a starter by christmas.
Fact he will start over Tony Allen or whoever is playing the 3 unless that mans name is Paul Pierce. F or F Gerald Green will eventually replace Paul Pierce as the Celtics superstar.

I totally agree that Pierce is paramount, and has been as long as he's been a Celtic, I was referring to the developing players, I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. On the other hand, FACT, 100%. That man is due some serious respect from this team, and he will get it. Of course, I know I am being hasty when I say that, for example, why is he due respect from this team? I guess I only say that because he's real NBA quality and getting drafted 50th is as big a sleight a player can receive. Fact or Fiction - If the Celtics had drafted one spot sooner, they would have taken Danny Granger.

I don't think we really have enough information about Gerald Green to say, and I think he plays a similar kind of game, so that's a good start, but we'll have to wait and see. I'll take the safe route and say fiction. Were I a more adventurous and faithful man, I would say fact, but again, too early yet. Refer to above post for the next fact or fiction.

Granger is a great basketball player at both ends of the court and if you ask me he was the best player on the board from pick 8 to where the Pacers took him. Granger does a little of everything and would have fit well in the Celtics system. Fact or fiction - If Gerald Green wasn't on the board at 18 the Celtics would have taken Ryan Gomes with that pick.

I love the guy, haven't been as captivated by a Celtic in some time, but his time is coming, and fast. He has been come a coveted commodity among teams looking to build, build, build. Thankfully, the team that has been building most capably of late just happens to have rights to his contract. As we watch this influx of new talent start to put butts in seats in the TD Banknorth Garden, Pierce will be the greatest common denominator salary-wise. With all this cap minding and luxury tax evading, Pierce may find no new deal when the time comes, simply because of attrition. That being said, professional basketball is a business, and no one knows that better than our man Danny. Pierce is in town to draw a crowd, and as that capacity reaches its plateau, and with all the excitement youngsters tend to draw in this league, that could well be the difference come time. I trust in Danny, but I am wary of where his preferential treatment of the almighty green (that's $, not leprechaun) will land his core in the near future. Fact or Fiction - We will see open feuding between the players and the bench this year.

Sure, we have a lot of young guys, but they all have good heads on thier shoulders. We also have guys that can get really emotional (Pierce, Davis), but both of them seem to have learned a vauable lesson from past experiences and will, at least, keep it out of public view should it have to happen. Aside from GP last year, when was the last time the starting PG led the team in dimes? I'm not sure, and I'm really just winging this here, but I'll say fiction, but for only one reason: there are too many damn point guards! With all the ones on this roster, it seems like someone has a starter-by-committee (I feel like I'm talking about the Sox here) philosophy here. That being the case, we probably won't see any one PG get significant minutes, and as a result, we'll see the numbers spread around considerably, and probably leaving Pierce to lead the team, as he would've been doing for years now, were it not for Antoine's presence. With Antoine gone, just like two seasons ago, Pierce will probably lead the team again. Fact or Fiction - We will see more than our fair share of sloppy play this year, leading to mid-season lineup changes, and potential locker room upheaval.
