In time we will see, as of now it is hard to tell but the good thing is Mo Cheeks seems to have faith in him. With that being said, everyone here trusts Mo's judgement right, maybe Randolf could actually be ok?
I'll start judging him when he steps on the NBA hardwood and starts contributing to the team. Its a rare commodity that an undrafted rookie actually comes out and plays really well.
We have no choice but to have faith because we can't get any better than that. We're in a bad situation finacially and we don't really have any expandable players. So let's just wait and see what happens, hopefully these two guys(Gai and Randolph) will turn out similar to Josh Howard and Marquies Daniels (in terms of impact of course). Honestly, I think at least one of these guys will open our eyes.
Mo Cheeks is definitely a good judge of both player and character in my opinion and I trust him with the moves and coaching he will bring to us. For him to say he has faith in Randolph and also the fact the Randolph was coached by one of the great college coaches ever, I think he will be a solid contributor. He is willing to work, gives us another big body and sounds like he has his head on straight. I think he will be a very serviceable reserve player.
well, in my opinion, if he developes a good jump shot, he can be a great spark off the bench for us. which is something i think we need.
Just the fact that he played at Duke is enough for me to get high hopes. Cheeks seems to think that all he needs is a jump shot to be very effective. I like to think he can develop that in time. Sounds very encouraging to me.
Jim Lynam (assistant coach) was on DNL the other day and he too spoke of high of Shav. But I`m with Aznx on this one, until I see him play in an NBA game, I`ll start giving my approval.

It would indeed be a great deal of good fortune for the 76ers if Shavlik Randolph or ...Gai played anywhere near the level the aforementioned Mavericks played at either in 2004 or in 2005.

We know they are basically established right now in Dallas, but know one really expected them to.
