1st round pick Marcus Spears went down with a knee injury in practice today, and many in camp are under the assumption that he will be gone for the year.

Spears had been fitting in the 3-4 look very nicely and would have not only been a starter at end, but would have also been provided flexibility to move to nose tackle if needed.

Man, I hate preseason. He looked so good in camp, too.

So happy...so happy. Kenyon Coleman is behind Spears, although Glover would also be an option. Coleman had no impact last year, but evidently the 3-4 has been a better fit for him and has looked really good in camp too. Coleman was acquired from the Raiders a couple years ago for a late round pick (7th?).
