Hey guys... I just wanted to know yalls take on rockets.com...do you visit often? what would you change about the site? what do you like the most; what do you dislike the most? where would u rank it and compare it amongst other sports sites? Just wanna hear your thoughts and opinions on it
For one, better updates. I heard about the signing of DA first on every site BUT Rockets.com. Rockets.com rarely updates they're site. Another thing, I would like them to have a rumor section. Something to keep me from having to go to HOOPSHYPE to see what the Rockets next move might be. If your going to have a ROCKETS site, I want to see features that keep Rocket fans interested during the offseason. Like Yao's progress. Different articles on the Rockets offseason moves, team ratings, and upcoming season predictions. The offseason is the hardest part of the year for Rocket fans. Especially if your not the biggest football, or WNBA fan.
I love the Rockets site...I check it everyday just in case LOL.... it is very informative and I really like that side column for rumors and articles...that is what I really look at I love it just wondering, but do u work on it?
Overall the site is very nice, and clean looking. Things I would change or add... 1) TOO MANY ADS is it really necessary to have two adds to the Rocketsonline store and NBA store on the front page? The one on the left is especially annoying because it keeps moving right alongside the articles on the site. 2) Font is too, tiny and makes it tiring to read when you are constantly having to squint 3) Player Blogs, I enjoy reading these, because you get a unique perspective from inside the locker room. As long as the player is allowed to speak freely and not give the typical boring responses. I'd give you more ideas, but unless the Rockets want to pay me for some consulting I'll have to keep them to myself.

Overall, I think rockets.com, since this year, has been much more improved than before. This summer, the site has been throbbing with new updates, unlike previous summers where the front page would stay unchanged for weeks. I really like "Clutch Speaks" and "Rockets.com Asks". One thing I would like to see added is an official discussion forum or a link to one, (maybe JBB? ) so that the visitors can actually find a place to chat about the NBA and the Rockets.

Sorry
My biggest beef with the rockets site is the ads. It's not there anymore, but during the season there was an extremely annoying flash ad that popped up and took forever to load. That particular one is gone, but there are still too many ads. a wallpaper section would be nice, it would be sweet to see fan submitted walls on there, although i don't know if that is possible because of image copywrights and whatnot. The photo galleries could be organized a little better, like having a separate gallery for yao, t-mac, and so on, instead of only organizing them by the games. That's all i can think of right now. But on another note, how did you get a job working on the rockets website? that would be a dream job for me, I have been doing web design for several years now. I'd love to have any kind of job with the rockets, actually.

I like the site, It could become better as layout goes. I hate the extended part with yao and the ball.
I like the site, more wallpapers would be nice as well..Or some more media, as you know I like my rocket videos... Also a rocket forum? it sounds cool but can you imagine all the spam? I can see so many useless threads as well as Yao hate threads..or "IMA T-MAC FAN! I THINK HE'Z 10 TIMES BETTA THEN KOBE LOL! WAT DO U THINK!?" or something like that lol...
there are plans to possibly add a fan forum as well as having updates on practices...theres also talk of maybe adding a player blog as well...during the season, what else would fans want to see?
Is there any way we could maybe have a weekly/monthly chat where fans could interact with the players/coaches? Something like ESPN had during the draft.
Wallpapers! Newer ones with our new players pleaseee? Aside from that, check out the Magic website, players section. Awesome isn't it? I would sooo love to see something similar for our players

^^ Uhm when exactly is media day? Thanks for the info man, I can't wait! lol I even downloaded the wallpaper with T-mac and the 05-06 sched so that I'll know whenever we have games. Damn..I really need to go out more, its my break and I've done nothing but check these forums
