I dont think Traylor was a good fit anyway. But for real, what does the Net's physical entail?

Yeah. Is it tough luck that Traylor and Rahim both failed their physicals? Or is something really wrong going on here? Are the qualifications for the physical too harsh? These past two moves by Thorn and the management really make you think.

Iam not for sure if he failed the Nets pshyical due to a injury...I think it probably came up during the pshyical, how out of shape he was...and then Rod Thorn took a serious look at how un athletic our frontline would be with a servely out of shape Traylor, a 40 year old Robinson, slow of foot Marc Jackson, JC and Krstic, arguebly would have been the slowest/least moible frontline in the league. So Thorn probably decided to pass on that look after getting word of Traylor's conditioning.

There's still Reggie Evans who'd be better for the Nets, as opposed to Traylor or SAR.

wow this is amazing that 2 players that have been in league for a long time and failed a physical. Probably Traylor will pass a physical with another team like Rahim did with the Kings.

Reggie Evans could start for us. We could really use him as a mini-Ben Wallace type of guy. He won't get blocks, but he'll get a hell of a lot of rebounds.

Oh don't worry, he is perfect, but he'll fail the physical.

Jokes aside, the Nets better act a bit quicker to add another bigman before they all disappear.

I think they would be better off trading for a big rather than settling for the crap that is left this late in the offseason. Evans is nice but the Sonics would probably match any offer that isnt considered over-paying. If the Nets are patient they can probably find a disgruntled big that is being shopped during the season.

    MY God!

Who'd have thunk a health nut like Tractor Traylor would fail a physical?

If he can't pass the Nets' physical, what hope does Escalade have? What of Fat Albert? Or, heaven forbid, what would happen to Riddick Bowe?

This dude is a blob on the court, when I see him stampeding through the lane, all I can think of is that the half court logo is somehow moving from one place to the next. He'll be back in the league sometime soon, but in the meantime, boy, get that cholesterol down. Your family needs you around for another 25-30 years.

Wow, this really sucks. [IMG] Luck isn't with us this year. First Shareef, now Tractor. But this wasn't really a big surprise, seeing as how he's had weight problems his whole career.

It all kind of reminds me of that time that the Nets signed Chris Childs and he came in fat, and could not get his body under control. The Nets did not want the same problems with Tractor. I would not be surprised if he wieghed in at 300+ pounds.

The Reason Thorn passed on Traylor

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Post has also learned the Nets rejected Traylor due to a heart problem along the lines of Laker draft pick Ronny Turiaf</div>

    ------------------

With the Scott Padgett signing, I kind of over looked this, so I figured you guys did too...but it seems as concerns about Tractor's heart is the reason the front office decided to go in another direction. Iam pretty sure that the heart problems of Traylor has something to do with/or is a result of his wieght and the shape he keeps himself in.....

Now I understand, they sorta have a point the Nets had this with Mourning and they dont want it to happen again with Tractor. At first I thought this Nets physical is insane howcome every one fails it? But of course Tractor gon fail it he a fat@ass.

Smart by the Nets to let him go. He wasn't that valuable and heart problems are a serious concern for any player. Also, Padgett was a much better signing for NJ than Traylor would have been. They also said it was along the lines of Turiaf which isn't good. The last thing NJ needs is more drama after the SAR loss. They just need to focus on the team they have now.
