Question... Since the Lakers waived Brian Grant this season, next season can they waive his contract in the amnesty so it won't count against salary cap ??? (example: Pacers waived Reggie Miller so they dont have to pay him anymore)
BGrant was waived under the one-time amnesty. The Lakers still have to pay his salary. The only financial relief the Lakers get is in regards to the luxury tax.
They save $30Million in luxury tax over the next two years. His savings basically pay for PJax's coaching contract.
