<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Look for shooting guard Matt Carroll to re-sign with the Charlotte Bobcats today.

Coach-general manager Bernie Bickerstaff said as much Tuesday. Carroll played 25 games for the Bobcats last season, joining them from the Roanoke Dazzle of the NBA's developmental league.

A 6-foot-6 guard, Carroll was a pleasant surprise, particularly in his ability to draw shooting fouls. His ability to make 3-pointers (33 percent) and free throws (86 percent) was more expected. He averaged nine points and 2.4 rebounds.</div>

He's a good guy to have around, and may become a poor man's Steve Kerr, a solid shooter off the bench. He's got a great shot, and has been money all through college and at the end of last year, it's good to see him get a shot.

A poor man's Steve Kerr? That's pretty poor... Would a player like that even make it in the NBA? All Kerr ever did was make the "so-called" shot to help the Bulls win Game 6 of the '97 NBA Finals. Many players could do the same in that situation with the entire defense focusing on the best player to ever play in the NBA.

Anyway, the Bobcats need shooters. Good signing. I like Carroll better than Kapono.
