I really like Linton Johnson, I'd want the Hawks to sign him if they didnt have a logjam at the forward positions. Linton Johnson was one of my favorite players when he was in Chicago but when he went to San Antonio and rotted on the bench I totally forgot about him, but practicing with the Champs he should be a much better player and more fundamentally sound. Good pickup for the Nets.

He brings a quality defender to the table....he can be used incertain situations alongside RJ & Kidd...and you will then have a strong perimeter defensive three. I dont see him being used as much more then a situational defender though...nice signing to work toward filling out the roster.

i was thinking about how tuff d "physical" do d players go thru? any ideas??

also i was thinking dat if VC passed the physical then i can presume that he has completely or largely healed his past injuries... no scar tissue in the injured parts so no need for concern of sudden past-related injuries.. just a presumption... X),, hope its cmpletly tru tho..

The Nets must be real tough on their physicals. Johnson is a decent player, he brings defense and can rebound. He has a PF's game in a SF's body, but he's got decent athleticism, and can defend. Don't expect him to play much, but he will gome in from time to time and can help.

I really like this signing. I think it was important to add a defender to the backcourt, with all the shooters and slashers we have. I was looking at his stats with Chicago in 2003-2004, and he seems like a good player to have on the bench. 4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in 17 mpg with the Bulls off the bench, and good defense. I think he be a useful player to have in the rotation.

This was definitely a good signing it adds forward depth, he is also a good defender.
