After hurricane katrina new orleans has been left under water with estimates of thousands of people dead. this is a really bad disaster and i just wanna send my condolences to the people of new orleans. Is there any one from new orleans on this forum who was in new orleans at that time or evacuated? sports related: where will the hornets and saints play next season? once again, i send my condolences to the people of new orleans and i hope everything is going well and the city will be rebuilt soon and everyone will return and go on with their lives over there. discuss
the whole city is 15 ft underwater. its so horrible. I lived in NO, but I moved several years ago... the saints are probally going to play at LSU this year, and i have no idea what the hornets will do.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The N.B.A. is bracing to relocate the Hornets for the entire coming season. It is a similar reality faced by other university and professional sports teams in New Orleans.</div> http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/01/sports/b...ll/01games.html Well it looks like They'll be out of NO before the seson begins.
houston is their second home. Ive(my family) actually has taken in a student going to my high school who is a fellow senior and also is trying out for varsity hopefully he makes it of course ill be the starting point gaurd
This is terrible. Not only do the people lose their houses, cars, and valuables, they now need to find homes elsewhere. Another thing that people don't realize as big loses are MEMORIES. Photo albums, documents and other things like that got lost. It's like losing your family's history.
My condolences to the people of NO and those who have lost loved ones..I hope the city can be restored as soon as possible.
NO can not be restored...it would be a waste of time/energy/money. Everyone knows they are not gonna restore it. Consider it Lake New Orleans. Sorry if this aggrivates you, but I live in Houston, and I feel very bad for these people. They lost there lives that were established. What scares me though, is these people have nothing left therefore nothing to lose. I have heard about gunfights on the radio, the cop sirens go off 3x tonite, some rape stories, and fights. I hope these people can get themselves established into houses in TX and any other states that are not rascist (i hate colorado). i cud type more, but i am tired of this becoming every houstonians life. im guna try to win a game with the Hornets on NBA Live.
My condolences go to the people of NO as well. My friend in San Antonio says a bunch of the New Orleans evacuatees are staying in the gym of a local high school. This is really terrible, couldnt they have gotten some low class hotels to let the New Orleanites in exchange for a tax cut?

And that makes everything worse as more looting and such will happen. My deepest condolences go out to NO and hope things get better up for them.
are they gonna rebuild new orleans in the same spot of lousiania which is below sea level? i think they should build new orleans but not in the below sea level spot again maybe a little farther than that in a flat spot and it could still be near the sea.
