<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">A well-attended voluntary mini-camp in Las Vegas last week did not come without a cost for the Minnesota Timberwolves. NBA front-office sources told ESPN.com on Tuesday that the Wolves were fined $200,000 for the two-day excursion, which was suggested by new coach Dwane Casey as a means for the members of a revamped roster to begin learning Casey's system and start building camaraderie. The league, which did not announce the fine, prohibits teams from conducting organized team practices or functions in the offseason. And by funding the Vegas trip, Minnesota committed a salary-cap violation. The Wolves, through team spokesman Mike Cristaldi, declined comment Tuesday night. Casey hatched the idea as part of the Wolves' attempts to gain some distance from last season's chemistry nightmare. Coming off a trip to the Western Conference finals in 2004 -- the first time in franchise history it advanced past the first round of the playoffs -- Minnesota swooned all the way into the lottery in 2004-05, costing coach Flip Saunders his job at midseason and leading to the summertime ouster of guards Sam Cassell and Latrell Sprewell. </div> Source Unbelievable! This summer is not going very well for the TWolves. They can't even go on vacation without something bad happening to them. Not to mention, Kevin Garnett's recruiting efforts for Michael Finley, didn't land them the veteran presence they were hoping for.
This is unlucky for the T-wolves, things are not looking good for minnesota this might end up in KG demanding a trade in the future.
I dont see where KG would go if he were traded. He has so much trade value that ud have to give up an allstar another starter and another role player just to equal his salary possible locations are ....nothing comes to mind

I'd take almost any KG to Golden Sate trade as long as GS keeps either J-Rich or Pietrus and either Diogu or Biedrins (preferably we keep Biedrins). Also, I could see the Clippers possibly sending Brand, Maggette, Mobley and anything else other than Livingston to get KG.
Wow tha TWolves just can't seem to get a break. Im sure fans are hoping the regular season won't be like this.

Also KG accomplished so much in Minnesota wouldn't it just make sense to finish his career here? The only way I can see KG leaving Minnesota is if it's late in his career and he is searching for a ring and the Wolves simply aren't good.

It's getting to the point that I'm starting to feel like this: KG is one of my faves and I have to like the Wolves since they are my team, but they seem to be run by some newbie who just figured out there's a franchise mode on Sega's "2K" series. They can't seem to do anything that rhymes with Consistent, or even Sensible sometimes.

Technical issue here... no team "organized" event. They screwed themselves over by putting unmandatory tag on it. Oh well. As far as trading Garnett... I am sure everyone remembers when he supposably was unhappy and they were going to send him to Chicago... obviously ended up being a bunch of garabage rumors.

However, as CK mentioned, dismantling a whole team for KG doesn't seem sensible. BUT if the Clips make adequatepreparations , or any team makes preparations(signing alot ofyounger, or cheap FAs, etc., etc.,) I could see it going down.
