Along with all the other teams mentioned Cleveland should have alot of fast breaks having 2 of the top stealers on 1 squad. Snow committs quite a bit of theft for his limited minutes. So we should see alot of fast breaking from them as well.

Nets, warriors, denver, suns, sac, and rockets! swift/tmac/DA/head/skip could be our fastbreak lineup to keep up with everyone else.

    Nets and Rockets.

I CAN'T WAIT to see the Nets play this year. I love JKid and VC. Now that they have Jefferson the skies the limit. They have a triangle offense thats extraordinary. I think they can make it to the Eastern Conference finals. I'm not sure if they can get further than that w/ Miami and Detroit standing in the way. I don't think they have an answer for Shaq. If Indiana beats Miami, and Nets beat Detroit, than Nets got it. 2 big IFs though.

If they did somehow get passed the East, then they could defidently take the cake in the champ.

i really don't think the nets have a legit chance at the championship. this is due to the fact that the spurs still stand in the way of everyone that wants it. dang i hate the spurs!!!!

I think that fast breaking will be the theme of the season this year. Teams will try and out run and out gun other teams to overcome the depth of talent on some teams. They will try to be more athletic and get up and down the floor. Teams like Miami, Phoenix, New Jersey etc will be the leaders, but Denver, Milwaukee, Clippers, New York and Philly will all be up and down the court type teams.

I believe Rockets can be a good fast break team when Yao is on the bench.
A line up of Skip, Anderson, T-Mac, Juwan, and Swift would be pretty quick.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SkiptoMyLue11:</div><div class="quote_post">I would say Suns, Nets, Hawks, Heat.

Suns: Nash with 2 running big men won't find problems in transition.

Nets: As long as Jason Kidd has his stamina, the Nets will have some good transition basketball.

Hawks: Youth + Energy = lots of running ball + finishing dunkers.

Whenever Shaq went to the bench, the Heat would spring into fast break mode with D-Wade with the addition of J-Will it will only improve their fast breaks.</div>

I hope you do relise that the only way the suns are going to get 2 big men on transition is if amare plays on crutches or kurt thomas runs the floor. lol

    Definetly Nets
The thought of carter, kidd and jefferson on the break. I gota wipe away the drool.

Remember last time Kidd and Carter played together what happened. Well any basketball fan has to know what happened at the 2000 Sydney Olympics lol.

    Fastbreak

Phoenix will have trouble keeping up the pace w/o QRich,Joe Johnson and Amare(what happened to him?is he out for the season or something?).This leaves Denver,Miami, and New Jersey.Denver will probably score the most, and I'm not sure if i'd want to play speedball all the time if i had the Diesel down low.

    Edit:Just read a thread on Amare's knee.Wow that sucks.

After watching several preseason games I think the Warriors and Kings will be the best fast break teams. NJ will be good but I just dont think they will be the best (this is just a feeling though). So far the Warriors have lead the league in scoring in the preseason, just as they did in the last 10-15 games of last season. The Kings can run with anyone or play slow tempo, great offensive team overall and I dont think they will be slowed very much by any team.

Its gotta be either New Jersey or Phoenix. I was really thinking that the New Jersey Nets would go after Stromile Swift over the off season, how sick would that be. The Suns still have Shawn Marion, the best fast break player in my opinion, and Amare (after the 4 months is up) who can out run mostly any big, and most importantly they have the guy that gets the break going in Stevie Nash.

    Alright alright alright...

Now all the teams you mentioned such as Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets, Phoenix Suns, and Golden State Warriors are all good fast break teams. But the most exciting fast break team of next year hasnt even been mentioned at all.

    PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS.

Sebastian Telfair is lightning quick, and with dunkers like Darius Miles and Travis Outlaw running the break with him it should be electrifying. I don't know why they haven't been mentioned, they're going to be a great run team. ZBo has some speed too, regardless he's not Darius, but he can run. Despite Travis and Darius, Ruben Patterson will be a valuable asset to the OFFENSE for once. Rube has always been a good fast break player because he's so quick to cut to the basket. Martell should be a sufficent enough of a fast breaker to fit in. Jack, Blake, and Dixon all should be able to run the break fine, but Telfair is the real treat.

Telfair showed flashes of brilliance all last season with breakaway speed and those head turning passes. Sebastian Telfair is going to be one of the, if not the best fast break point guards in the game next year.

This is won't be the best fastbreak team, but trust me, these guys will get up & down the court. The new look Hornets lead by the very same coach that made the Nets the best fastbreak team.

    PG- Chris Paul
    SG- J.R Smith
    SF- Desmond Mason
    PF- Chris Andersen
    C- ??? PJ?

    Sixth Man- Speedy Claxton

Anybody think about the 76ers? The two AI's will be able to run all day up and down the floor. Not to mention the fact that they were the best team last year when it comes to forcing turnovers. Other then that, the Nets will be good on the break, and so will Phoenix.

I'd go with the New Jersey Nets. Have a great passer and two great dunkers.

Chris Paul running the break, Desmond Mason and JR Smith on the wings and Chris Andersen as the trailing man.

They won't win many games, but if that isn't exciting, I don't know what is.

I made that comment about having two big men running the court in September, before it was known that Amare was going to have surgery. Anyway even with Amare out, I think the Suns will be a strong fast breaking team.
