<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Devin Brown, the San Antonio Spurs' restricted free agent, has signed an offer sheet for a two-year deal from the Jazz, a league source told The Salt Lake Tribune. Earlier this summer, Brown's agent, Darrick Powell, met with the Jazz and said at the time that the meeting went well and that his client was "eager" to play for the Jazz.

The Spurs have seven days to match Utah's offer, but the Spurs may not feel the need to keep Brown because they were the winner in the Michael Finley popularity contest, although San Antonio general manager R.C. Buford told the San Antonio Express-News he would not rule out matching an offer from another team.

Utah is also expected to re-sign backup point guard Keith McLeod, which would give the Jazz three point guards going into training camp. Palacio, an NBA journeyman who has averaged 4.5 points, 2.5 assists and 17.7 minutes in his career, is valued for his experience at the point guard position, complementing rookie Deron Williams and McLeod.</div>

    What! What!
I Really Do Think That The Addition Of Devin Brown Gives The Jazz The Final Playoff Spot This Year.

Plus Milt Polacio Will Be A Great Addition To Back Up Deron With A Little Senority

    Good Job Kevin O'conner

Not quite sure how much It is but this was always on the cards and now confirms this. Guess Devin was waiting for the Finley situation to be sorted out.

As much as I want Devin back in S.A, his best interests is to move on where he will get good playing time and a chance to prove himself. He is a San Antonio guy with so much potenial but the moves that have been made here, It will be impossible for him to return while getting what he wants. Which is court time. When he played he was successful. Only question mark is his back which kept him out to end the season and playoffs. Which may be why he has gotten just a 2 year deal and not a 4 or 5 year contract.

If Devin Brown joins the Jazz, it will be a good signing by Kevin O'Connor. The Jazz needed to add some depth to their backcourt, and they should have done this. Brown will get minutes with the Jazz, and the Jazz didn't have to offer that much to get him, if they get him.
