Anyone have their choice games picked out from the schedule yet? I know I will be attending a game or two against the Raps this year. Call me crazy, I welcome it, but I think this year the Atlantic will see some contention between these two teams, so that should make for some enjoyment. Anyone interested in car pooling, let's make it a plan. Aside from that, check out that schedule and see what appeals to you; let's hear about it.
Obviously.... <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Crywalker:</div><div class="quote_post">Anyone have their choice games picked out from the schedule yet? I welcome seeing any games with the C's playing top flight competition....that is, of course if I actually like the team this year. I wasn't feeling the squad at the beginning of last season either. It wasn't until they jelled together and traded Jiri Welsch & Tom Gugliotta away that they reached their full potential. They won me over slowly...I'd have to hope that they do it again this year...I hope that this Tony Allen business can go away/be resolved soon. One.
You live in Boston, and cheer for the Celtics only when their doing good? You said you werent feeling them till they got better, that doesnt sound like a loyal fan.
Uhh...yeah! <div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheTruth5:</div><div class="quote_post">You live in Boston, and cheer for the Celtics only when their doing good? You said you werent feeling them till they got better, that doesnt sound like a loyal fan.</div> It's hard to be loyal when the management makes bad moves (Not signing Walker, not supporting Pierce when the fans and sports radio were railing him, signing Scalabrine and Dickau (?)) and the fans in Boston dump on the star players (Pierce, Walker, Ricky Davis) because they can't be like Tom Brady or Johnny Damon or Jason Varitek. I LOVE basketball more than any other sport...however, being a basketball fan in Boston is much like being a hockey fan in Harlem. At the FleetCenter during C's games, people are wearing Red Sox gear and talking about Tony Allen and Al Jefferson while wearing Troy Brown jerseys. If the management can't keep a team that the fans like/can grow to love on the court then how can you be expected to blindly love WHATEVER PRODUCT IS PLACED IN FRONT OF YOU AS A FAN/CONSUMER? That's not very intelligent. I work hard for my money and before I pay for a seat at a game I'd like to think I should first enjoy the event I'm going to see. One.
I see you got a point, I misunderstood what you said when i saw <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">if I actually like the team this year.</div> I thought by that you meant you dont care about the team or even think about watchin one of their games on tv, unless their doing good.

I agree with your point about the fans, but our current management hasn't done anything bad enough to warrant that kind of criticism. They also have been very supportive of Pierce in public, and all trade "rumors" have been denied/laughed at. And if the signings of Scalabrine and Dickau have any affect on your views, then you really need to take a look at the bigger picture.
I always thought that the Lakers/Celtics game was a must-see for either fan base regardless of where each team is located on the standings.
2 things~ 1. Rick Pitino was, is, and always will be an idiot. 2. I plan on going to see the Seattle game. Ray Allen is my favorite player thats not on the Celts. Ill be at a few more too.
hehe, im sooo jealous right now, I have always wanted to go to an NBA game since like, about 11 years old....im actually starting to save money up now, so, hopefully, ill be alright to go on holidays next year! I cant wait to see a Celtics game!

I dont live in Boston but if I did I would check out the C's vs. Lakers because of their longtime rivalry. And also Celtics vs. Nets because there Atlantic Division Rivals.
Personally, I can't wait to get my chance to see them play Toronto in Toronto. T dot is one of the finest cities I've ever been to, and I would love to take in some great basketball is such a lovely environment. I'd also get to see my boy Matt Bonner. That would be a plus too.
