Even though I've never been there, I would have to say wherever Duke plays, because the excitement has to be amazing. Duke fans are awesome.
Anywhere you see a game in college the arena is crazy. I love it. Go to a Duke verses UNC game in UNC. Everybody gets into it and it's just an experience to remember. Go to a game where both teams are rivals, the fans get into it. That said, I am looking forward to my Villanova vs. Temple game on New Years Eve
From what ive heard Duke is probably the best arena to see a game because of how dedicated the fans are.
Duke's arena is Cameron Indoor Stadium. Before I die, I want to witness a Duke vs. UNC game at Cameron. I think that would be the most amazing experience to me.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Anywhere you see a game in college the arena is crazy. </div> Not true at all. The University of Memphis games are always low intensity, except in the sparse alumni sections. The FedEx Forum and the Pyramid are nice venues, but the atmosphere is not right. They need an on-campus arena. Speaking from experience, the Breslin Center at Michigan State is amazing, especially if you go to a game where the "Izzone" is present. It's basically like the Cameron Crazies, but it doesn't get the publicity because it doesn't have ESPN and Dickie V sucking it's **** like Duke does. I also liked UAB's gym when I went down there to see some tournament action. It's a large arena, but there's not a bad seat in the house. My original seats were on the upper deck before I moved down, and the action was great. I sat through LSU vs. Purdue up there without even thinking about moving down to a closer seat. Had it not been for my friend's insistence to move down, I probably would have watched the rest of the tournament from up there. I don't think UAB's fans are as wild as the Texas, LSU, Purdue, and Mississippi State fans in attendance were, but for the tournament, it's a great venue. I really don't care about going to Cameron Indoor before I die (although I'm sure I will), because it's most likely the same atmosphere that I have experienced at Michigan State, Indiana, and all the tournament venues I have been too. However, I would like to go to Hinkle Fieldhouse in Butler University. Even though the team isn't that great (well, ever since Archey left at least), the arena has been around since the 1920's, and it's also the gym from "Hoosiers". I've definitely got to see Butler play at home at least once before I die.
The best experience is going to a college stadium when they face their rivalry. Cal v. Stanford is always exciting.
Cameron Indoor is pretty much the consensus, but honestly there are about 10 or so that are simply great places. I've got to say that the Kohl Center is one of the best. Our fans get nuts, it's an intimidating place, the band is great, everything. The Grateful Red > Cameron Crazies Any time a rivalry game is going on, any place gets that much better
