He will travel to Washington later this week to officially sign the contract.

Booth was waived by the Bucks in August and was designated their amnesty victim.

The 6-11 center was drafted in the second round by the Wizards in 1999 and then went on to do two tours with the Mavericks that surrounded a three-year stint in Seattle.

Booth was also being pursued by the Clippers and Cavaliers.</div>

It never hurts to have a big body.

Yeah he is a good acquisition who will help the Wizards in the paint now that Kwame Brown is gone. He will help fill the void that they might have had after Kwame's departure.

Not that big on Booth, but he can block shots, and he has a decent mid-range jumper. He'll help in the big man rotation, but he could be better as a rebounder, and is a little thin.

I was hoping the Lakers would sign him for a similar deal and add a big body to their lineup. Nice addition by the Wizards, he will be a servicable backup to Haywood.

Another big body never hurts. Decent signing by the Wizards. Like Shape said, he should be a good backup for Haywood.

Avery, Booth is a stiff! Believe me, I know. We were delighted when he left Seattle. Now the guy you will love is Antonio Daniels. He is a wonderful team leader on and off the court. Excellent guy to have in the locker room. Rarely turns the ball over. Very, very conservative play on the court. Will never lose a game for you, and occasionally win a game. His drive to the hole is something to watch. He does bring the ball up the court very, very slowly, unless your coaches tell him to do otherwise. I'm very jelous you took him away from us. Booth you can have. If he doesn't work out, perhaps you can trade him to the Washington Capitols for 5 dollars. I hear they are looking for a zamboni driver to clean the ice between periods.
