Well, with Babcock basically saying we are going to be a worse team than we were last year, I started looking at possible positions and possible draft selections. I used a few different references (which I won't bother mentioning) to come up with this conclusion. What do you think?? Standings 1 San Antonio Spurs 2 Miami Heat 3 Detroit Pistons 4 Indiana Pacers 5 Houston Rockets 6 Phoenix Suns 7 Dallas Mavericks 8 Sacramento Kings 9 Denver Nuggets 10 New Jersey Nets 11 Chicago Bulls 12 Minnesota Timberwolves 13 Cleveland Cavaliers 14 Washington Wizards 15 New York Knicks 16 Seattle Supersonics 17 Philadelphia 76ers 18 Los Angeles Lakers 19 Memphis Grizzlies 20 Los Angeles Clippers 21 Boston Celtics 22 Golden State Warriors 23 Orlando Magic 24 Milwaukee Bucks 25 Utah Jazz 26 Toronto Raptors 27 Portland Trailblazers 28 Atlanta Hawks 29 Charlotte Bobcats 30 New Orleans Hornets Draft selections (1-10) 1 New Orleans Hornets---Andrea Bargnani 7-0 225 PF/SF 2 Charlotte Bobcats---Rudy Gay 6-9 220 SF 3 Atlanta Hawks---Sergio Rodriguez 6-3 170 PG 4 Portland Trailblazers---Tiago Splitter 7-0 240 PF/C 5 Toronto Raptors---Daniel Gibson 6-2 190 PG Texas So 6 Utah Jazz---Adam Morrison 6-8 220 SG Gonzaga Jr. 7 Milwaukee Bucks---LaMarcus Aldridge 6-11 230 PF 8 Orlando Magic---Shelden Williams 6-9 250 PF Duke Sr. 9 Golden State Warriors---Ronnie Brewer 6-7 200 SG/SF 10 Boston Celtics---Josh Boone 6-10 237 PF UConn Jr.
I thought we had two 1st Round Picks...I think a lot of people are giving New York too much credit just because of Larry Brown as their new coach. And look at where Boston is, I think they're top 15 at least. New Jersey in the top 10!? Wow and Cavs 13th. The Cavs will probably do really well this...better than everyone expects and this time, they won't choke on maintaining a playoff spot. The Raps won't finish bottom 5, maybe bottom 7 or 8.
I think Greg Oden will be drafted somewhere in that Top 10. I doubt he will stay at Ohio State when he knows he has a bright future ahead of him in the NBA.

He WILL go #1 2007 Draft though, I agree.

It wouldn't surprise me that Pierce is traded by deadline. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting MAKEOUTCITY:</div><div class="quote_post">...New Jersey in the top 10!?</div> Yah, this may be a stretch I agree. Really good fast break team with Kidd, Carter and Jefferson. Add Antoine Wright and Jeff McInnis?? Maybe top 10. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting MAKEOUTCITY:</div><div class="quote_post">...Wow and Cavs 13th. The Knicks may just as well be another version of the Raps, with a better coach. I think they will so ok this season. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Carcharias:</div><div class="quote_post">With a disgruntled Paul Pierce? They also lost their #2 scorer Antione Walker. I think Boston could be in a lot of trouble this year. It wouldn't surprise me that Pierce is traded by deadline..</div> The Celtics have a young team. If you look at last season, they did quite well without Pierce when he was injured. Their picks really came out; two of them named in the All-Rookie Team. Antoine Walker was also sidelines in the time he was there and the Celtics still managed to make it to the playoffs. I definitely think that Pierce will stay a Celtic - he is a valuable asset to the franchise, but then again...it's a business. Anything can happen, he might even end up a Raptor...you'll never know. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Carcharias:</div><div class="quote_post">Yah, this may be a stretch I agree. I think it will all be in VC's hands this season and I can't see them being a top 10 team. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Carcharias:</div><div class="quote_post">You think they will do better than 6th in the east??
