Well, with Babcock basically saying we are going to be a worse team than we were last year, I started looking at possible positions and possible draft selections.

I thought we had two 1st Round Picks...I think a lot of people are giving New York too much credit just because of Larry Brown as their new coach. And look at where Boston is, I think they're top 15 at least. New Jersey in the top 10!? Wow and Cavs 13th. The Cavs will probably do really well this...better than everyone expects and this time, they won't choke on maintaining a playoff spot. The Raps won't finish bottom 5, maybe bottom 7 or 8.

I think Greg Oden will be drafted somewhere in that Top 10. I doubt he will stay at Ohio State when he knows he has a bright future ahead of him in the NBA.

Do you think the Raps have a good shot at acquiring him?

Not Draft '06....he won't be eligable until '07 after 1 year of college.

He WILL go #1 2007 Draft though, I agree.

Oh that's right; part of that new agreement deal. I doubt the Raps will get a hold of him then.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting MAKEOUTCITY:</div><div class="quote_post">I thought we had two 1st Round Picks.</div>

We do, the other pick comes from Denver, which I am sure will not be a lottery pick.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MAKEOUTCITY:</div><div class="quote_post">...I think a lot of people are giving New York too much credit just because of Larry Brown as their new coach.</div>

Not just that, Quetin Richardson, Jerome James, Channing Frye and Nate Robinson. I think they have really improved in all spots, now add Larry Brown.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting MAKEOUTCITY:</div><div class="quote_post">...And look at where Boston is, I think they're top 15 at least.</div>

With a disgruntled Paul Pierce? They also lost their #2 scorer Antione Walker. I think Boston could be in a lot of trouble this year. It wouldn't surprise me that Pierce is traded by deadline.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting MAKEOUTCITY:</div><div class="quote_post">...New Jersey in the top 10!?</div>

Yah, this may be a stretch I agree. Really good fast break team with Kidd, Carter and Jefferson. Add Antoine Wright and Jeff McInnis?? Maybe top 10.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MAKEOUTCITY:</div><div class="quote_post">...Wow and Cavs 13th. The Cavs will probably do really well this...better than everyone expects and this time, they won't choke on maintaining a playoff spot.</div>

You think they will do better than 6th in the east?? OKAY, I don't.

You think we are a better team than we were last year? We finished 7th last year.I don't, neither does Babcock.

I think Quentin Richardson is overrated, Channing Frye and Nate Robinson are not yet legit NBA players. The Knicks may just as well be another version of the Raps, with a better coach. I think they will so ok this season.

The Celtics have a young team. If you look at last season, they did quite well without Pierce when he was injured. Their picks really came out; two of them named in the All-Rookie Team. Antoine Walker was also sidelines in the time he was there and the Celtics still managed to make it to the playoffs. I definitely think that Pierce will stay a Celtic - he is a valuable asset to the franchise, but then again...it's a business. Anything can happen, he might even end up a Raptor...you'll never know.

I still think that Jason Kidd has lost a lot of his mojo last season and it may continue along with this season; the same goes with the very on/off performer in Richard Jefferson. I think it will all be in VC's hands this season and I can't see them being a top 10 team.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Carcharias:</div><div class="quote_post">You think they will do better than 6th in the east?? OKAY, I don't..</div>

The Cavs have added Larry Hughes to their line-up and a Robert Horry-like performer in Donyell Marshall. I think they have a great shot in winning the Eastern Conference.

I know there isn't much hope for the Raps making post-season, but we'll just have to sit tight and watch what happens this season.
