<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The signing of free agent Damon Jones will make a world of a difference to a Cavaliers' team that needed a point guard and better 3-point shooting.

Jones had the NBA's fifth-best 3-point field-goal percentage (42.3) last year as a member of the Miami Heat. He also was fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.57). Jones, in his seventh NBA season, averaged a career-high 11.6 points.

But the biggest change Jones will bring to the court and to the often stale Cavs' locker room is a major dose of comic relief. That was apparent during Thursday's news conference when Jones was introduced as the newest Cavalier.

"I'm one of the top five shooters in the world," said Jones, who paused for effect before breaking into a wide grin. And when coach Mike Brown answered questions from the media, Jones whispered in the microphone that he was the fifth best shooter in the world. Jones continued to display his sense of humor when asked about getting dunked on by LeBron James during a game last season. He is constantly reminded about the play.

"I had to hear about that dunk for two months straight," said Jones, with a wide smile. "That [dunk] was the third reason why I came here. Instead of him dunking on me, now I can throw him the ball to dunk on someone else."

But the Cavs did not sign Jones to a four-year deal worth $16.1 million for fun and games. Jones is also serious about his game. </div>
