Even before the Raptors traded Vince Carter to the Nets, Bosh was clearly the most valuable player on the team. He has great explosiveness to the rim, quickness out on the floor and surprising touch from a variety of angles. And he's still only 21. </div>

I think he has a good shot at becoming an All Star this year. I also think he should be ranked higher than Sheed, and maybe above Brand.

^ yea he could be above sheed but no way over brand, brand is highly underrated if you round hios stats he averged a double double every year ehs been in the league ( only year was last season where he averged 9.5) he can constiantly give u 20 and 10 if he was on almost any other team he would b a allstar every year

I won't place Bosh any higher than seventh. Rasheed Wallace is a very versatile scorer, and his defense is great. Bosh can score on the drive and from mid-range, but he lacks a valid post move and he's still too thin to be a great defender.Brand gets knocked on for getting good numbers on bad teams, but you could say the same for Bosh.

    im sorry
but i really would have to put Pau Gasol on that list above Jamison Webber and RANDOLPH!!
i jus think he has so much more talent then the 3 of them (arguably with Jamison)

Over Sheed? It's arguable. But Elton Brand? You must be out of your mind.

Do you think he will be able to surpass Sheed & Brand this upcoming season with him now looking like the man in this Raptors team? He should now be the focal point now that it will be his first full season with no VC around.

He should surpass Sheed, but I doubt he passes Brand. Elton is a stud that is (unfortunetly) in Clipperland and gets snubbed every year for the ASG. He is a consistent 20/10 guy.

Whether or not Bosh becomes that 'man' for the Raptors depend on where Rose's head is come the tip-off time. If Rose screws his head on right and acknowledges that it's not his team (which he should have known last season) then Bosh would have a spectacular season. If Rose keeps playing the way he played last season and becomes a major distraction, he should be traded or at the very least be suspended with pay for the whole season - like how Isiah Thomas told Penny Hardaway to go home.

Bosh could have easily been an allstar last year considering that Vince was scoring something like 17ppg with the Raps. But he wasn't, Jamison was. No offense to Bosh, but he's not better than Sheed or Brand. Doesn't have the knowledge of the game yet.

That list is not very accurate. As much as I love Z-Bo I'm not sure he's better than Kmart.

Like I said in the other thread, until he proves it, you can't really rate him over the other guys. He had a good 2nd half of the season last year, but it wasn't something extraordinary.

I would rank them like this:

    1) Tim Duncan
    2) Kevin Garnett
    3) Dirk Nowitzki
    4) Jermaine O'neal
    5) Elton Brand
    6) Rasheed Wallace
    7) Pau Gasol
    8) Zach Randolph
    9) Chris Bosh
    10) Emeka Okafor
    11) Shareef Abdur Rahim
    12) Dwight Howard
    13) Antawn Jamison
    14) Chris Webber
    15) Kenyon Matin/Carlos Boozer

Rasheed over Bosh because he's still a 17-19 PPG scorer, and right now a vastly superior defender. Gasol and Randolph which will be the debatable ones are over Bosh [for now] because: Gasol is so far been a better scorer [about equal now], comparable rebounder, better passer, and shot blocker. Randolph is a better scorer, and rebounder. Neither of the 3 are good defenders, but Bosh has the highest potential in this area. If Bosh this coming season is in ther 19-20 PPG, 9-10 RPG range and improves his overall defensive game, then I would rank him over them.

I didn't want to add potential to this, but I did a little with Emeka and Dwight. Emeka I see 17-10, close to 2 BPG, and good defense, which is better than Shareef's 20-9 and no defensive presence, and Dwight I see 16-10, and also close to 2 BPG with good defense too, but he could be hindered statistically by Steve Francis. If not, those 2 could also be at the same level as or even above Bosh, Gasol and Randolph depending on their performances, and considering the fact that they can defend better already as less experienced guys.

Jamison is down because he can score, but can't defend PF's, and isn't as good a rebounder as the rest. He isn't really a PF anyways, so I'll cut him some slack, he's really more of a big SF. Webber has dropped because of his injuries, Boozer is better scoring, passing, and rebounding but no D, and Kmart is better rebounding and defense, but weaker scoring and passing.

Except for this statement I agree with almost all of what you wrote. Jamison is an excellent scorer. Come on.

They are obviously considering Amare a center. As a pf I would put him after Duncan, KG, Dirk, and JO.

I think og's list is good, except I might have swapped Gasol and Rasheed

Bosh and Zach Randolph, especially because Randolph has been known to slack off and also had an entire injury ridden season. Randolph apparently is constantly overweight as well. Randolph has only had that one year of 20 and 10, and he was going for a contract extension. Randolph also has been known to slack off on D and be selfish on the offensive end.

Randolph's a chubby kid, but he always has been; it's almost a strength. He really bullies people in the paint. Slacking off on D? Hardly. He's a very solid defender, and he owns the defensive glass. It's true that he's only had one 20/10 season, but that was his only injury-free season where he got the playing time to do so. I remember when he came to Memphis in his sophomore year (pre-20/10 season). It was the first game all year that Cheeks gave him playing time, because Wallace was in foul trouble. What'd Zach do? He put up 30+ pts and 20 + rbs in less time than a lot of the other players. He's a talented kid; don't sleep on him.

I agree about swapping Rasheed and Gasol on Og's list. In fact, I'd move Rasheed to below Randolph. Other than that, I pretty much agree 100% with Og's assessment.

That's a pretty good list, but I'd put him one spot higher over 'Sheed. I've never liked Sheed too much so this might be biased but I think that Chris Bosh is a better player because of a lot of reasons.

Oops, that was a typo, I didn't even make sense there, can't scorer, but can't defend? Huh? It was supposed to be because he can score, but can't defend PF's, etc etc...

Voodoo, you make some good points, I'm thinking more that Randolph has motivation issues, (that he was only trying for a contract extension) I was reading from people that knew him well since high school and stuff said that he was a guy who would stop trying once he gets his big contract.

Also, I've read from comments from his teammates, that he is very selfish on the offensive end and that Mo Cheeks would get frustrated with him because of this.

Also a season ending knee injury, knee injurys are the ones that tend to be most chronic and career dehabilitating. Hopefully his wasn't too bad, and he is young enough to fully recover.
