<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">3. Jason Collins, C, Nets: $5 million. Collins is a decent defender, but he shoots 41.8 percent from the field, which is bad -- if you're a guard. For a center, it's impossibly bad. Collins' twin brother, Jarron, is a center for the Jazz who has put up similar numbers (better shooting, fewer blocks). But Jarron makes $1.8 million</div>

Pointless list. We all know that big men are overpaid these days because of the lack of talent. I may understand Collins being on the list, but I honestly don't believe he should be #3. He actually is important to the team, unlike Pollard, who's paid to warm the bench at $6 million.

Everybody on that list deserves to be higher then JC....I guess all this column is taking into account is stats, if you look at stats then JC isnt worth the 5 mill in the eyes of many, not just this guy...but if you dig deeper and consider the fact that JC became the teams best on-ball defending big the day K-Mart was sent to Denver...if you factor in JC's grasp of the team concept. Plain and simple for the last 4 years we have won with dude in our lineup....how many starting 5's have a better winning percentage then JC over the last 4 years? not many...and he has had a role in all that winning 4 playoff apperances(2 finals apperances), 3 Atlantic division titles....and he has been in the lineup more consistently then any of the other stars during that period...JC deserves a little credit. Do I love him as our starter? nope but the fact remains we win with him..and we have yet to acquire a bigman worthy of knocking him out the starting lineup and we dont really know when or if we ever will...so the 5 mill all consider seems a small investment, that he is worth imo.
