Since a lot of you guys like to bash the Bills and want to call me a homer, I'm going to go through my team's schedule and mark down what I think is going to happen as fairly as possible - If one's too hard to call, I won't say either way. Home: Jets = win Dolphins = win Pats = too tough to call but I do think we have more then enough talent on the field to be capable of beating them. Chiefs = this one is decided by homefield advantage - that would be us Broncos = another one decided by homefield advantage - us again Texans = win Falcons = too tough to call - we have a D that is capable of containing Vick, but their D is pretty nasty too - I'm kinda leaning towards a win because of homefield, but still too tough to call Panthers = win however I'll say this might have gone the other way if we played at their house. I wouldn't be affraid to bet with my heart on this one though either if they played at carolina. at home we'll go no worse then 6-2 Away: Jets = win - we're long overdue for a win at the meadowlands and we get them later on in the year which will be a big help - I really see us as being due to sweep the jets whether you guys see it or not the Bills are improving and probably won't hesitate to put in Holcombe if Losman bombs - right now is our window of opportunity because our D is about to potentially start losing players (like Nate Clements) Dolphins = obvious win, but it will be a nailbiter like the last one at Pro Player or Joe Robbie what ever it's called now Pats = loss - if ever there was a sure loss, this would be it. Raiders = win - we got screwed against them by the refs last meeting we're gonna come in pissed off Chargers = too close to call Bengals = win I'm picturing the Bengals as being like the Dolphins they'll start off strong early in the season, but they'll finish no better then 9-7- which is not good enough for the playoffs in the AFC. Buccaneers = Losman's first test against a hostile (though aging) D on the road - I'm gonna go with a Loss but I'm glad that we get to play the Bucs and the saints on the road as opposed to the other two NFC South teams (the Falcons and Panthers) Saints = I really don't know what to expect out of New Orleans year in and year out - I know this is Haslett's last year if he doesn't get them to the playoffs and I heard that the players really want him to stay - we'll see if if they dig down deep and pull it together - this one I'm gonna reluctantly say we'll win. 5 wins on the road - 11-5 that's a fair record for a team that has a year of experience under it's belt in it's new offense (minus the QB but I'll look for some gimmick plays by Mike Mularkey to try to relieve some of the pressure Losman will feel). Plus, we got a better McGahee who is primed for a breakout year, the same nasty D, and the leagues number 1 special teams unit - this is a more then fair prediction for a team on it's way up whether you guys want to admit it or not.
Your gonna lose 4 games in your divsion. Lose against Bengals, chargers, panthers, chiefs. so 8-8 is what i see for you guys. The game against the falcons, the bills will shut down vick. Saints dont have a defense so your offense will do good in that game. TKO Losman has the skills to be a good QB, but he doesnt have the smarts yet that he will get from starting. He is gonna strugle his 1st year and then next year you can talk about Losman leading you guys

The Jets have the defense to be able to shut down Losman or Holcombe. Now with Ty Law in the secondary its out of the question to think that their offense will be that effective in the air. So with the air covered the Jets will move up to slow down the run. Which they were the most effective against all year last year. I recall they were one of the best run defenses in the league last year. Backs like LT had under 100 yards a game against them. Now surely u cant say that McGahee is just as good as LT who the Jets didnt let get going last year. So i believe it will be a close game maybe "too close to call" but i dont think a sweep by either team is a given.

not yet, but don't be surprised if he proves to be this year - we will be relying on him to relieve pressure on Losman. You want to bring the D into this Jets 1083 - fine - I think our D will do a better job of shutting your O down then your D will ours - you guys forget that Law hasn't shown anything since he's been injured - and just because he was the best in the game prior to the injury doesn't mean anything - remember Sam Cowart? I do - the difference between pre-injury Cowart and post injury Cowart were night and day. Martin is a year older, and I really would rather see you guys try to beat us with Pennington's arm more then I would Martin - but either way, I'm not concerned. Remember, we almost had you guys last year at the meadowlands and this team is better now then it was then - you'll see that with the Oline actually having some continuity behind the OL Coach (this is the first time we've actually kept the same OL Coach for back to back years in a while - and just think - if we dropped from 54 to 51 pre McNally to 38 with McNally in his first year, and we've still got McNally (who is really big on Gandy and Anderson - our two new starters who have both been a pleasant surprise in camp) Losman will feel even more comfortable in the pocket because he should have decent time. Think about this - the way it looks to be shaping up if our Oline can keep this up this will be the best line Losman's played behind - look what he did at the college level with no line and imagine the possibilities now.

Seriously you guys are hyping a team up that the Bills absolutely murdered in their OWN house last season both of our lines were too much for them, our skill position players looked excellent against their counterparts on the otherside of the ball Did Pennington struggle? Did Culpepper struggle? Did McNabb struggle? Did Roethlisberger struggle? Did Warner struggle? Did Brady struggle? NO. Maybe the odds are against Losman, but just because he's not experienced doesn't mean $#!t. There are starting to be more and more QBs that are able to come in and play well for their teams with little to no NFL experience.
hell, peyton manning looked pretty solid at times in his rookie year too bad at the time the Colts didn't have James.
Did Pennington, Culpepper, McNabb, and company struggle? Yes, yes they did. Culpepper was benched for a half a game because of poor performance and excessive turnovers. McNabb, up until last year, had a relatively low completion % raising questions about his arm (legitimate questions). Roethlisberger's numbers were not impressive...he just didn't screw up too bad. Pennington definitely has had his struggles. Let's bring Favre into this...he had incredible difficulties early on. Most every QB has serious struggles when they start out. The trick is, simplify your system for the QB so it makes it difficult to screw up. Brady got a great system to work in (which is why to this day some people think that he is a good SYSTEM QB, rather than a good QB).

The only reason u guys finished solid was because the scheduele was easy!!!!!! When u were on the 6 game win streak u guys beat the rams, seattle, 49ers, Miami, Cleveland, and the Bengals. Do u really expect Losman to come in there and do better than players like Big Ben or Vick?? Losman has a lot to learn and is nowhere close to be a QB tht could bring buffalo to 11-5. The only way tht Losman wins 11 as a starter is if Mcgahee, Moulds, the defense and Evans have good games. The D is great but the D cant do everything. The Bills are most definetly not doing better than the Jets and Pats. Ur just CRAZY!!!!!!! Are all Bill fans as crazy as u or are u not telling us something. Have u been hanging out with Ricky a lot??

Oh we're not gonna beat the Jets once huh? We've got a good chance at beating them both times - I KNOW we'll beat them once. again why does everyone seem so quick to jump on the chiefs bandwagon? they haven't done anything in 2 YEARS with a Trent Green and a healthy Tony Gonzalez and the human joystick - Kinda makes you wonder if maybe Dick Vermeil is truely washed up. Again - the Falcons have tough times against fast defenses because they're able to contain Vick (guess what - there is a LOT of speed on Buffalo's D. Buffalo clearly looked better then the Broncos at the end of last year. And the Chargers still have to show that they can put back to back winning seasons together - we've seen them do this before - go to the playoffs, look like they're gonna make some noise and then stink it up the next year - Drew Brees needs to prove he can do it year in and year out as well. Don't come in here acting like you know anything or everything because that post just shows exactly the opposite. I'm done.
The Cheifs have had nothing that even resembled a defense for the past how many year? This year they have several legitmate threats on that side of the ball they will be a contender at the very least.

I didn't look it up because its not that important, but if so, then that would make one year where the chiefs haven't done anything. Everyone knows that the Chiefs problems are not on the offense. Trent Green is a good QB, Priest Holmes can still run, and even if he can't Larry Johnson is a pretty good alternative. The problem with the Chiefs has been their defense. Although they will still struggle this year, the pickup of Surtain and Kendrell Bell is going to make this defense a lot better. I'm not so sure I'd predict the playoffs, but this is going to be a tough team every Sunday to beat. I think they are still 2-4 players away from having a suitable defense, which is what they need to be an elite team.

Cheifs went 13-3 2 seasons ago and finished strong to end the 2004 season as well. A healthy Priest Holmes and Tony G all of last season and they might be a wild card. Not to mention they added Sammy Knight and Patrick Surtain who are both potential pro bowlers. I think Surtain is a top 3 corner in the league actually. Add Derrick Johnson the best Defensive prospect in a long time and he'll be the real deal. He had top 3 pick talent no one needed a LB in those spots which is why he was a surprise fall in the draft. Not to mention Kendrell Bell who is a former Pro Bowler. So a potential top 10-15 defense and the best offense in football. Yeah I purchased a ticket for that bandwagon this season and I am confident its money will spent.
