http://www.tnt.tv/title/0,,625855,00.html I'm not sure why it's not on in the West Coast. I know it's showing out East.
I just finished watching the game.... nobody else saw it?? The game itself was quite lazy, boring and very disorganized. However I've been so NBA deprived that it was nice to watch the game. I can't wait for next season.
^^It was televised in LA?? If it was i'm gunna be pissed, because I live in Santa Barbara and the digital cable listing thing says it'll come on at 11.

Apparently digital cable received the feed at 8pm, but cable customers should receive it at 11pm PST. I heard it's worth the wait.
I have Adelphia cable, and to be honest guys, the game was really not all that. It's quite boring and there aren't too many highlights. It was a very relaxed game, very fan friendly, and very very turnover friendly... I don't think it's worth it to stay up for but hey it's at least a glimpse of the NBA after a long layoff. I would just record it and watch it some other time.
haha it was even playing in toronto well..the game was allright pretty sick moves i liked the 3 point showdown between T-MAC and Arenas and those dunks that Kobe did

Kobe, Tracy & KG vs James, Wade & Amare...it would have been more enterianing then trying to fit guys like Lue, Mike James,etc...in there for 1 or 2 minutes at a time..to many players for such a little time in my opinion. And running Clock made it even shorter. I think the cause was great and in the end that is all that matters...but besides the reasoning behind the game, I cant really say anything else special about it. It was pretty weak entertainment wise.
I was at the game, covering it for the Rockets, and I must say it was quite entertaining...as disorganized as it was, there were some great highlights...Stephon Marbury was throwing some sick passes, but its a shame nobody could finish off them...TMac was just crazy, had the alley-oop of the night, and capped it off with two consecutive treys from 28 feet and beyond...JR Smith has some crazy nice hops...it was like he was in the dunk contest again...carmelo had 18 points, bron-bron had 12; Amare had 17... During the timeout sessions, fans were getting autographed team basketballs and other NBA paraphenelia (sp?)...the ovations were crazy and fans were on their feet and cheering the whole game...it was great to see how successful it was...Over $1 million worth of products, food, clothing, services were raised BEFORE the game started, and every ticket was sold out...
You could easily tell that certain players haven't been working out this summer. Carmello, Arenas, Wade, Joe Johnson and Billups looked sluggish out there. On the other hand, it seems like JR Smith, Dahntay Jones, KG, and Amare have worked on their bodies and they looked really good. Also, Kobe seemed to be in great shape, but he's probably the hardest working player in the league so it's no big deal.
The overall quality of the game was poor needless to say. But it was really a pickup type of game, so what did you expect? Like Henacy said, basketball in Septemeber could be worth a look. The game had some good highlights. McGrady was accountable for majority of them. From his windmill alley oop Kobe tossed him, his trademark off the backboard dunk to his onslaught of half court 3Pt shots. He went back & forth with Arenas but he eventually missed on his 3rd attempt. Nevertheless, he was looking good on the court for a player that's probably a little rusty. It was a downer that the game was 10 minutes per quarter and had a running clock until the 5 minute mark. But what made it worse was that they cut off a whole 7 minutes in the 3rd quarter. After half time they started off the game late in the 3rd quarter with just a little over 3 minutes left remaning. But at the end of the day it was for a good deed doing it for the Hurriance and all, and that's what really mattered. At least we saw something. I read an article where it said Allen Iverson had the biggest ovation of the whole night. Too bad he didn't suit up. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Allen Iverson arrived about 10 minutes before the game, causing quite a stir. Did Tyron Lue get traded? I was watching the game and he was wearing a Pistons jersey with his name taped on the back.

He had to replace Lindsey Hunter at the last minute and that was the only avaliable jersey. It was pretty funny how they wrote his name on a piece of paper and tapped it on the back of the jersey.
Check out some of the after party pictures from the Charity Game. A lot of the players look tossed. For Example.... See the rest.
