This funny thought came across my mind as I was thinking about Livingston, and if he would be a Clipper for life? I really don't think so, but I wondered if anybody has ever been a Clipper their whole career?
^ I doubt it...the Clippers are a in-league Farm team and a career funeral home...most guys either start their careers as Clippers and then jumpship as soon as they get the opportunity or guys get sent to the Clippers when the twilight years of their careers are upon them...and their games are coming to a closer....I pretty sure there might be a couple of guys who only played in the league for 1 or 2 years and they may have been with the Clippers, I think Bo Kimble, Hank Gathers college teammatte, but the Clippers dont have anyone that had longivity in this league and only played for their team.
I really doubt. The Clippers have been a bad team for a long time. Most the players want to leave the Clippers. Only rookies wanna play for them because they want a chance for minutes. Im pretty sure the Clippers will do better this season though.
What are the odds of Livingston being a Clipper for life? IMO very very slim. That says a lot about the Clipper franchise.
I think Chris Kaman has a good chance of being a Clipper for life. The only players on the current roster who have played their entire career with the Clippers are: Shaun Livingston Chris Kaman Chris Wilcox Quinton Ross
I actually took a few minutes to look it up(I didnt go back to the Buffalo Braves days) but I did look into the Clippers over their NBA time, since the early 80's and Keith Closs is the only guy that I came across who played played multiple years in the NBA(3 years) and all with the Clippers. I was pretty sure before that Bo Kimble could've been a candidate but he played 9 games at the end of his career in a Knicks uniform so it takes him off the list. So Closs is the only guy I see so far...might be more if someone is willing to look harder then I did...anyway, Char...decent question, I never took the time out to think about it before..
Loy Vaught was a career clipper ... I know he spent a few years in detriot at the end of his career, but he hardly even played so I dont even count that.
Loy Vaught doesn't qualify he played not only for Detroit, but also Dallas and Washington. I looked through all their rosters, the only player is Keith Closs.
I always liked Closs despite his awkwardness oncourt. The question just happened on my lap when I was thinking about Livingston's career, and where he could go, and the possibility of him being a Clipper for a while crossed my mind, and I wondered if anyone had done that. Do the Clippers have the least amount of allstars in NBA history?
hm yeah i dont think anyone has been a clipper for their whole career (excluding players waived by them after a year or two) but wtvr things are gonna change for the Clips this year i see them doing muchhh better than last year and turn make the Hawks into the joke-of the nba team
