<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Smitty:</div><div class="quote_post">^Yep. Also Duece McAllister.</div> Really??
Got WR Donte Smith from the Saints, can anyone tell me about this guy? I heard from the ESPN guys he's comparable to Deion Branch, but everyone knows how dependable those guys are.
^Stallworth not Smith haha. Donte Stallworth is a very nice, talented reciever, was a good trade. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">FOXSports.com has learned that the Eagles today swung a trade with the Saints for former first-round pick Donte Stallworth in exchange for LB Mark Simoneau and a fourth-round pick that can turn to a third rounder if the Eagles can work out an extension with the receiver.</div> Link: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5913516 <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Brian:</div><div class="quote_post">Really?? </div>
^They probably couldn't come to a good deal for Branch..so they went for the next best option I guess. Either way, Donte's a pretty ill reciever..I like the trade.
I think Donte could come in and be your 2nd option and your deep threat. A great move by the Eagles and I'd be very happy right now if my name were Donovan.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Best Kept Secret:</div><div class="quote_post">I like Donte and all, but come on the Eagles are simply being cheap right now. Branch > Donte.</div> The Patriots were asking for a 1st round pick for Branch, which would not have been a good trade for the Eagles. I'm glad we got Donte. He will be a perfect compliment to Reggie Brown. It seems to me that Pinkston, Gaffney, and Lewis are on the hot seat. So far, here are our many recievers: 1. Reggie Brown 2. Donte Stallworth 3. Hank Baskett 4. Jason Avant 5. Todd Pinkston 6. Damian McCants 7. Greg Lewis 8. Jabar Gaffney
Can't you tell Donovan McNabb is just frightened to go on the field with a bunch of no-names to throw. I bet not one of them been to the Pro bowl.
Eagles Give Pinkston Permission to Seek Trade <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ESPN.com has learned that Eagles officials have granted Pinkston and agent Joel Segal permission to speak with other teams about a potential trade. It is not certain what Philadelphia would be seeking in return for Pinkston, who could be extraneous, given the glut of receivers on the roster. As of Tuesday afternoon, three teams had indicated an interest in Pinkston, a second-round selection in the 2000 draft. At least two of the three receiver-needy franchises would likely view Pinkston as a starter, if he is healthy. Pinkston has conceded, though, he is not pain-free yet as he continues to recover from the Achilles injury suffered last summer in training camp. Even teams legitimately interested in Pinkston will have some concerns about his health and also might be willing to gamble that he will be released this weekend, when teams must reduce their rosters to the regular season limit of 53 players. Philadelphia is set at the two starting wideout spots, with Stallworth and second-year veteran Reggie Brown, and the coaches like some of the youngsters they've brought in, too. The teams interested in Pinkston likely are attracted by his outstanding deep speed and career average of 15.3 yards per catch. </div> Source Sorry about that, lol.

Todd Pinkston, throughout his career, has shown he can get up the football field. He's no T.O, but he's no slouch either, I believe in his breakout yr he got 8 TD's, no reason (sides injury) he can't do it again

He doesn't perform in big games, and is huge sissy. Pinkston is often critisized for his fear of taking hits. He has dropped a lot of passes throughout his career because he was afraid that he was going to get tackled. Pinkston is frail, and with the current reciever corps that we have, Pinkston is the odd man out
Since you put it that way, who needs such a crappy WR? Whatever we get in return for him would be good. (A 3rd rounder would be nice)

The most we can get for him is probably a 5th, maybe a 4th if we are extremely lucky. Either way, hes going to be gone. There is no more room on the roster for him, and its better for us to get something in return for Pinky than nothing
Either way, I don't think Pinky would have made the final roster cut this year. Plus, the Eagles don't need more WR especially since they just got Stallworth. Plus they have Baskett, Brown, Gaffney. They're deep at WR this year. Pinkston out!
