See thats why most people don't agree with you. Without question. Well the Ravens and Steelers are easily just as good as the Bills are on defense. As for putting fears into teams. Well yea but not like the 2000 Ravens.

I'm going to say that you don't lead the league in sacks. I'm giving Baltimore the league lead...

The Packers bringing in Bates is the most significant change on defense, yes, but there is a lot of potential for improvement in other areas as well. For example:

One of the biggest thing that haunted the defense last year was missed tackles. Improved tackling = Improved defense.

Grady Jackson, Hannibal Navies and Mark Roman all played hurt the entire year. If Jackson and Roman can play the entire year without injury, we should notice a marked improvement at safety and on the DL.

Nick Collins looks good enough to start as a rookie and Ray Thompson from Arizona should improve our linebackers.

I don't think Green Bay can have a top 10 defense by any means, if for no other reason than the BRUTAL schedule we have this year. I do think, however, that somewhere in the 15 - 20 range is easily doable with the new system and the talent that's in place.

We finished 3rd in sacks last year, but this year we're starting Ron Edwards who is a better pass rusher then Pat Williams was.

And apparently we're gonna be doing a $#!tload more blitzing - I guess Jerry Gray has a lot of faith in our secondary.

Ok those are reasonable reasons. But again without question. My point don't make guarntees in August because someone could have a bad season. Bills have a solid defense and maybe the best in football but it's still August. To early for mark my words and without question.

I agree with everything you said except that I believe Nail Diggs and Ray Thompson are gonna start at LB this year. Bates likes fast LB's and Thompson fits his scheme perfectly.

well, who would have guessed that the colts would lead the league in sacks?

I personally would have bet that the Panthers would have (I think Peppers is better then Freeney, and they've got Kris Jenkins on the line too).

Freeney is scary fast. He gets off the line faster than any lineman I have ever seen.

for me its a toss up between Freeny and Peppers, Peppers seems to be slightly more athletic but Freenny just doesn't stop moving I'd love to have either of them!

I'm an not a football expert by any means but know that it is more important for a DT to clog the middle.

I guarantee that Buffalo WILL miss Pat Willaims' presence.

I say the panthers lead the league in sacks, they did it in 2003 but dropped off in 2004 due to Kris Jenkins on IR. The entire line will be great next year, and some backups like Al Wallace and Kindal Morrhead looked impressive last year
