The Packers released Arturo Freeman today, he was expected to be one of the starting safties this year due to his first 5 seasons under Jim Bate's D, Collins must have impressed them enough to make Freeman expendable.

WOW I thought that Freeman and Collins were going to be the starters for sure. Ouch!! He must of looked bad in practice. I know he didn't play well in the preseason. This leaves the job opening to Marviel Underwood.Nick Collins, Mark Roman, and Earl Little.

It looks like Roman is to be the man along with Collins, Underwood may take over mid season/

probably. I dunno. I rather see Little then Roman. Hell I rather of saw Freeman then both of them. I though he would of been a great replacement.

Roman played hurt most of last year. I predict he'll bounce back this year and keep the starting job, barring inuries.

Well he has impressed the coaches a lot during training camp. Jim Bates like him and Collins and Carroll and Harris as the starters right now. Earl Little and Joey Thomas are still in contention as well as Mike Hawkins. If Roman didn't play well in practice he would of got cut instead of Freeman.

Yea GB said they cut him this early because Roman has stepped up and Collins has played well. So that gave him a chance to find a team. I still think he would of been a better player than Roman but Bates seems to know exatly whats he's doing.

The Titans really need Freeman, they have so many young players in that secondary, this signing will really help
