So today I woke up as every morning and did my daily routine: Turned on my tv/tivo and watched/listened to the 2005 nba draft while I fixed coffe , cleaned up the beer bottles by the computer, got my gear ready to iron, and ran the shower. Took the shower and got out by the Clippers pick(always start at 10th pick).Turned on the "Katrina game", at the part where Chuck starts to talk about the Lakers and how were going to be intresting. He says something about Kwame beining a 3rd option type and that this situation should fit him. So i'm cool, and then i start rummaging thru my routined sites:hoops hype,hoops world,real gm,la times,club lakers ,justb,and lakers ground; Hoping for some Sprewell news or Curry news.I go to Lakers.com (I don't know why) and there is Karrem....and he is talking about his role....and he is talking about his work out with Bynum....and then it dawned on me...............In the last 3 weeks when ever this guy is talkin about his work outs with players he said Kobe was their,I heard Von was there,I hear Ronny is trying to get back in shape. Where the F*%& is the Kwame Brown work out info. Where is the proof that anything is different. Why wasnt he at the Katrina game?,he also could use a makeover. Get on the floor kid make your face known,get a couple of easy power dunks, make the Gms and coaches see what you look like in that Lakers jersey and scare the s%*$ outta them. Mingle with the Elite so the can say some good stuff bout you.Mix it up with Amare and Jermaine. Take some passes from Kobe so we can get a glimpse, shucks take an OOP to get Kobe hype. All of our hopes in some way shape or form rely on this kid making a difference and that starts with being different. I dont want the same Kwame who didn't alledgely take practice serious. Who didn't endear him self to the community.Who let the world get to him......I mean **** I aint doing all this workin out in the morning for nothin. {THIS IS THE FIRST INSTALMENT OF LAKER COMMENTARIES THAT I WILL DO IN MY LAKER DRAWS ONCE A WEEK}
The history will not repeat itself with Kwame, Because of this major factor. He was traded from a position where he was catered to and given the oppurutunity to grow as a proffesional athlete. The situation here is much different he is no longer in the position where he is the pampered number one pick in the draft, and the margin for error is nonexistent. The fact that he is playing for Mr. Jackson and Kobe, (yes Kobe) will speak volumes for his career. 15 and 10 next season. - Clutch
