Rankings Honestly I think this is a bit low; we've got a ton of momentum heading into this year. We aren't a playoff lock and we're very unproven, but I think if this is a true power ranking, our off season has springboarded us up the rankings. We Bucks fans have the right to be among the most optimistic of all heading into the season
I agree; the Bucks should definitely be in that 8-15 range after acquiring Andrew Bogut and Bobby Simmons. The arguably had the best offseason in the NBA. Those power rankings are complete trash though. The Rockets won't be half that good <font size="1">(I feel secure saying that in the Bucks forum; anywhere else I'd be castrated by the 1,000,000 biased Rockets fans roaming around JBB)</font> The Grizzlies are also too low. They lost a bunch of players, but people should stop and look at who they lost and who they got in return. They lost the players that hurt them last year; the liabilities. Getting rid of Swift, Williams, Wells, and Posey is a HUGE plus for the Grizzlies, especially considering they're bringing in three mature veterans (E.Jones, B.Jackson, Stoudamire) in return. Hakim Warrick was also a solid addition, and Gasol, Battier, and Miller are coming into their primes. Just so long as they keep that Gasol-Battier-Miller core, they'll be fine. People put too much emphasis on the role players. Does it matter whether they have Stromile Swift or Jake Tsakalidis coming off the bench? Not really. Denver, Cleveland, and Philadelphia are also too high in these rankings.

Memphis will be solid once again, like you said; they retain a relatively young, talented core of guys. I guess our teams just weren't flashy enough for the people making the rankings...

NBA.Com even ranked them over Milwaukee and Memphis in the power rankings. They're not going to be that great though. They weren't that great last year, Webber never fit in with the team, and they didn't really make a major offseason move other than grossly overpaying Samuel Dalembert to come back. I don't see how they'll compete with teams that were just as good last season but were a lot busier this offseason like Boston, Chicago, and Golden State.
Yes remind me never to go into the Rockets forum again. Never seen so many homers in my life. Quite freaky. I could see the Bucks doing what the Wizards did last year If TJ is good to go. I'm really rooting for the guy. Watched him alot at Texas and must say It was a joy to watch him play. A great talent and who deserved all the best and a successful comeback. Just hope Simmons didn't just play for a contract and contines to play hard and puts up the numbers.
Lol Houston may be a bit high but they are definately a top ten team. I think the Bucks may have a shot at sneaking in the playoffs, they look good and with TJ Ford hopefully coming back they'll be a good team.
Bucks should be WAY higher than 19. After all the big moves they made in the off season, they should be top 10. Theyre not gonna be a top 10 team, but as far as power goes, the Bucks have a lotta power heading into this year.
