<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Clippers added quickness to their training-camp roster by signing free-agent guard Yuta Tabuse to a non-guaranteed contract. Tabuse became the first Japanese player in the NBA last season when he made the Phoenix Sun's opening-night roster. Tabuse played in four games and averaged 1.8 points before he was waived. He joined the Long Beach Jam of the USBL. He played against the Clippers last year in an exhibition game.

Regarded as Japan's top player, Tabuse was invited to the Denver Nuggets' training camp in 2003 but was waived before the start of the season. With the signing of Tabuse, the Clippers have 12 players under contract. That does not include their top draft pick, 18-year-old forward Yaroslav Korolev. The Clippers are negotiating with Korolev's club team, CSKA Moscow, to buy out his contract.</div>

Tabuse is a good player and I think he is capable of being a second string PG or even a starter down the road sometime. Livingston and Cassell are already intense about minutes and with Tabuse here it isnt going to get much better, Unless one of the two PG's is injured I doubt Tabuse will see any playing time.

The longer he gets to pratice with the team(s), the better he'll get. Even though he is only 5'8, he plays a good game. I'd love to see him start sometime for a team down the road.

This guy should be interesting to watch. He's a very quick player and I guess at 5'9 lbs you pretty much have to be. He could be like a Speedy Claxton, Earl Boykins, or Damon Stoudamire type player. He probably will get posted up every time down the floor though. He weighs only 165 lbs, right around where Speedy Claxton weighs. I'd say physically, it's a close match between the two although Claxton is an amazing leaper and has great wingspan length for his size.

Its not gonna happen, behind Sam Cassell and Shaun Livingston (The Best Pg in La). Thats all he's gonna get it is practice time behind those two. -Clutch
