Ok, the kid is a stud and is going to be a great player someday. What do you think about him. I think he is very mature for being in his third year and is going to become a better leader this year. HOw do you see his career playing out?

By great I mean one of the greats. I think he is on his way and his style of play is very entertaining.
Wade is a good player don?t get me wrong when I say this, but he is overrated by a lot of people. He is on his way to being a perennial all star, but at this point is not better than Kobe, AI, or Mcgrady. He is getting the type of attention right now from fans that Kobe Bryant was before the rape charge. Hopefully nothing like that happens to Wade, but people treating him like too much of a hero right now. Let the kid grow and mature I was a Wade fan his rookie season, because he was as underrated as any player that year, but ever since the Shaq trade people have been blowing this kid up way to quickly.

Is it Wade's fault that so many people idolize him? Why would you like him when he's not loved but not like him when he's even better and well-liked? Idiotic theory.
It's Dwyane not Dwayne but I agree with everything else in your post. He is an amazing player and has a very bright future in the NBA.
The slurping continues..... Yes Wade is very good and will be considered great when It is all said and done. We get It.....

I never said I hate the guy simply that I am not a big fan of his now, because of all the hype he gets. I respect his game, and his ability on the court, but he is to blown up in his fan base, etc. It is not his fault, but it?s just an opinion I have, and the way I feel about it. Do I have any deductive reasoning behind it not really, but some things are inexplicable and this is one of them.

Also, a lot of new NBA fans like him because he is getting a lot of attention and I htink Shaq is the reason for all his popularity. However, he is still a great player and let's not forget he almost led the Heat to the ECF in his rookie year without Shaq.

Surely there are better topics for you to post about than how good he is and what kind of career he will end up having. The more you make topics like this the worse rep this forum will get.
Umm...not really, there is a Vince Carter thread on this site, and people don't talk about how great he is all day. I made this so people could talk about his game, just don't post in the thread if you don't like it.

We know Wade is going to be good, likely he will even be a great but do we really need a thread just about him?

With Shaq getting older and less efficent Wade is going to have to provide more for his team and that may put a lot of pressure on him, adding the whole worlds expectations makes it even harder. Look at Kobe and the Lakers now that Shaq is gone. When Shaq leaves Miami, will they have the same fate?
I don't think so because they have aquired more god players to prepare for Shaq departure. Plus I think Wade will be more of a team player than Kobe(not a shot at Kobe so Laker fans don't go phsyco). It will also have to do with how healthy Dwayne stays which also happened to Kobe this year. When Shaq leaves this is the lineup: PG: Wade or Wright SG Wade or Wright SF: Posey PF: Haslem C: Earl Barron or a draft pick Earl Barron is looking like a good young prospect and we may pick a young Center so who knows.

Which was a big reason why so many people hated the Raptors fans and Vince. When you overtalk and overhype a player no matter how good and talented. It gets tiring. But If you want that to happen here, be my guest.
I like Wade...he has astounding athleticism and will end up being a great scorer in the league...however, I see him having the same career (stats-wise) as Kobe..and I also feel Wade will be one of those players who will need another 'star" alongside him to shoulder some of the load...
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> I also feel Wade will be one of those players who will need another 'star" alongside him to shoulder some of the load...</div> Yes, Wade does well with a star on his side, but he obviously can still suceed on his own how about his rookie season when he shined hitting game winners in the playoffs, and taking his team to the second round of the playoffs in his rookie season. And how about when the Heat lost Shaq in the Heat-Wizards series this year and Wade dropped like what 40 something in both games. On his own he is still great there is NO doubt about that. Wade has proven in numerous occasions that he can still shine on his own.
