This makes no sense at all because they already have 3 capable PG's in Telfair they're future PG whom they took a gamble on and it looks like it will pan out, Jack whom they drafted this year, and Juan Dixon who they acquired via free agency. I think this is a false report unless they plan on pulling off a trade, or sign and trade involving 1 or more of there PG's.
this doesnt make any sense...the blazers are loaded with guards...I assume a trade or cut is coming? I dont understand the reasoning behind this...
Ok...this is weird,Jarret Jack,Telfair,Dixon (who can play both guard spots) and Blake? I think they like to have injury insurrance (last year 3-4 pg's too)
I just want to know why we're not picking up another PF. Steve Blake?? Great, we'll have a log-jam at SF and PG................we might as well have a whole team of under-sized ball hogs.
Yea right... alot of guards...how bout some shooters?!? Mcmillan is a good coach if he have good shooters on the court,Blake is a solid defender and can play at the SG and can actually catch and shoot some of Telfair's assists. But i guess Trading Pattersonmiles can be a good idea for us. anyway,Another shooter cant hurt a team with scoring problems.
The only sense I can make out of this is ... 1) Portland is not conviced Jack is a PG and will have him play SG 2) Portland has a trade in the works
Shape, you should see if you can't set up a trade between your Lakers and the Blazers for one of those young PGs...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Schaddy:</div><div class="quote_post">Shape, you should see if you can't set up a trade between your Lakers and the Blazers for one of those young PGs...</div> I'd love to see the Lakers workout a deal to acquire Jarrett Jack and Ruben Patterson from the Blazers. The Lakers have expiring contracts and Miami's 1st Round pick in next year's draft as trade bait. The Blazers have no need for Patterson at this point in their rebuilding process. They need to make time for Miles, Outlaw, and Khryapa at small forward. The Blazers would save $7M next season by unloading Patterson for expiring contracts.
lol blazers just signed steve blake to an offer sheet source: http://www.nba.com/blazers/news/Trail_Blaz...-151261-41.html i really dont understand whyyy blazers are doing this they are packed at the guard position loll
Telfair is the starting point with Blake backing Dixon is the starting off guard with Webster backing Jack is an insurance policy developing for both.
My question is who will be traded at SF? Obviously PAtterson and Miles have character issues that the brass don't like. The Russians did very well for themselves on their national team from most accounts. Did Outlaw get most of his minutes at PF last year?
of all the small forwards here i would like to see patterson go. he has no upside like the rest of the players there.
The Blazers need Ruben's work ethic. I think the youngsters could learn a thing or two about defense and hustlin' on the hardwood. If only Ruben could score??? We def. need a true back-up PF at this point in time. To those wanting Ruben traded...............he has one of the most difficult contracts to trade due to the special clauses, good luck finding a suitor.
plus not many teams want a player who was convicted for rape. one of the reasons portland would be more then happy to see him leave.
