<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PlaTsanity:</div><div class="quote_post">lol because there isnt a source.. find me a source of shaq blaming it on his team-mates and coach and i'll accept my defeat... just ask yourself if shaq never signed with the lakers after becomming a free-agent would the lakers have won three championships? would they have been as dominant as they were?</div> Link 1 Link 2 Link 3 Link 4 Those should get you started, there are plenty more. The Lakers probably would not have won titles and have been a Dynasty if Shaq was not on the team. However, you keep overlooking the fact the Shaq early on for the Lakers, was not the same player or person he was at the end of his run as a Laker. He did a complete 180 on the team, the fans, and the organization. Every Laker fan respects and gives Shaq all the credit in the world for leading the team to 3 titles. It's the Shaq over the last 3 seasons fans have a problem with.
lol nice sites you found but you got me wrong the argument was "shaq blamed MIAMIS teammates and SVG for not winningn the championship LAST year" which i think is incorrect
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">O'Neal was asked about the team's inability to get him the ball down the stretch. "I'm not making the decisions,'' he said. "You'll have to talk to the guy who's making decisions out there.''</div> Source I'll track down more.
All I know is that I remember the Pistons-Lakers Finals and Kobe was BALLHOGGING way too much. He was getting shut down too but he just kept on jacking up shots. They lost the finals mainly because of Kobe which resulted in Phil Jackson and Shaq wanting to leave LA....
Shaq was no doubt instrumanetal in the Lakers success, However we have to look at his track record when his a certain team mate reaches superstardom. It happened to Penny in Orlando, It happened to Kobe in L.A. will it happen to Wade in Miami??. Jealous streak or coincidence?? Personally I dont think so . He has proved time and time again that he is not the type of player to willingly share the spotlight with other players. He's even calling 17 year old rookies juvenile deliquents!! Shaq is a bitter old man.. But is hunanumously the most dominant ever. - Clutch

Didnt shaq blame Damon Jones and the miami heat for not getting the ball to him in the ECF last year? Or is it that since its not the Lakers we shouldnt criticize them and put them on BSPN. Wake up!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting STAT5:</div><div class="quote_post"> I sincerely beg of every last one of you who find solace and safety in a winner, with your O'Neal jerseys and Shaq posters, to settle down and try to see the sheer brilliance and artistry in what players like Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant are doing right now. If Kobe ever becomes the best player in the NBA, and I sincerely hope that he does, he will prove what Wayne Gretsky proved in hockey, that you don't have to be the biggest or the strongest to be the best. Wouldn't that be beautiful? Until then, however, you soulless, cowardly, brainless parasites are going to continue sitting glued to your television sets, cheering stupidly as Shaq mercilessly defaces and invalidates everything I used to love about watching basketball.</div> Allen Iverson isn't anywhere near great. Don't get me started again.

Just because he cant lead his team to the playoffs or deep in to the playoffs doesnt mean he shouldnt be considered great.

If leading the league in scoring, but taking the most shots of anybody in last 10 years tranlates to being "GREAT" to you, then you probably need the vacation more than I do.

Heh how foolish it is to play the blame game. How about that both Shaq and Kobe had a major role in the failure and dismantling of the Laker's dynasty.
