Yao bulking up?

    i rather have yao as a strong wall on the court with a gentle face than a strong wall with a portland trailblazer face (srry portland fans)

    If I had to ballpark Yao's current weight, I'd say he's at 320 to 330. He was actually listed at 315 last season and it looks from his arms that he's gained around 10. The thing I'm worried about is whether Yao will get tired more easily with the added weight he carries around now.

    I have to agree, his stamina is the most important part. We know he can be effective, but his minutes need to go up. Also, he needs the ball in the post more. Not just pick in roll. In the playoffs, Yao did have position early down low. But our guards passed that option up, and either drove, shot, or moved the ball to the other side of the court. I blame JVG. I think that's what Van Gundy should work more towards. Yao getting the ball early.

    He is above 300 for sure. During the playoffs last year it said 300lbs so it has to be higher than that now. Maybe 315-325lbs like you said.
