This list is just stupid. How can someone like Carmelo Anthony beat out Tayshaun Prince? And how is Tony Parker only number 42??? Steve Nash is number 11 and Tony Parker beat him during the playoffs and went on to win the championship and hes only number 42??? Mike Kahn is an idiot. He puts Elton Brand ahead of Tony Parker wtf. Zydrunas Ilgauskas got number 32. Andrei Kirilenko # 17 did he even play this season? Kobe Bryant at number 4 what has he ever proved he can do without a big man...yeah give me 50 shots a game and ill average 30 a night.

What did Jordan prove without Pippen? Nothing. But you still consider him a great player. That's a dull statement.

Amare should have been higher. Ginobli is on the verge of being the most overrated player in NBA history. Tmac is more effective than AI. Other than that, I can't really argue with the list.

sorry, but I'd take Tmac over Wade and Iverson anyday of the week.

    EDIT

Just read the rest of the list and it is total crap.......I'm sorry, but after watching Dirk choke up in the playoffs this year, I can't call him a top 10 player, and I definitely wouldn't put him above Lebron....and yes Manu is overrated, he is not better than Yao.

I would have to say that I probably agree with the presence of all the players on this list though I do dissagree with some of their placement. One thing I'm not contesting is Tim Duncan's place as number one, you just can't touch him.

    TMac
    Iverson
    Lebron
    D-Wade
    Jermaine O'Neal

I basically rate my top 10 on the top 10 players that I would start a franchise around....and mine would be

    1. Duncan
    2. Garnett
    3. Shaq
    4. Kobe
    5. Tmac
    6. Lebron
    7. Wade
    8. Iverson
    9. J. O'Neal or Amarie
    10. Yao or Nash

Wow are those rankings whack. How do you get wade that high and lebron and tmac that low, both should be in the top 6. I like how the guy respects yao though, most people dont really respect him. I amnt gonna use fox again.

I think Yao seems right at that Ranking, but T-Mac is under ranked.

T-Mac is, without a doubt, a a top 5 Player in the league.
Iverson is severely overrated, and as much as I love Wade, he needs a bit mroe experience to be good as the no. 5 ranking suggests. The Kobe vs. Tmac topic is also very debatable.

Therefore, T-Mac should crack the top 5. He is definitely no.5 AT LEAST. Possibly no.4 depending on one's opinion on Kobe and T-Mac.

Bosh and Artest both should be a good deal higher and i disagree that Ginobali is the most over rated player. That easily belongs to J. Oneal, and i like the Pacers.

I don't think Ginobili would thrive in a system without a dominant big man like Duncan. He is able to get anywhere at will because it's mostly single man coverage on him. If defenses key in on him, I could hardly see him being a top-25 guy.

I'd have been fine with McGrady at number 7 if Wade wasn't number 5. Although he is a great player and will be one for years to come, he's only had one great season, and that was with the most dominant player in the game drawing attention from him. I would move Wade to 8-10th and move Lebron up to 7. TMac will be sixth and Iverson fifth.

You said what has Kobe proved without a bigman..........He's already a "GREAT" player, if doesn't win another championship, he's still a hall of famer. Yes he does belong in the top 4 or 5.

just because he wins championships. Is that an easy task?

Anyway, Shaq is probably still better than TD, but its questionable because Shaq is 33.
KG has only lead his team out of the first round once in 10 years.
Kobe has accomplished much in his career already, but doesn't have the selfless attitude that Duncan has.

But what made him a "GREAT" player? The championships? And what do you attribute to those rings he has? All Kobe has proved he can do by himself is average 27 points per game while leading his team to a 34-48 record. No he does dont deserve to be in the top 5; nor does anyone else who averages 25+ points and can't get their team above .500.

record doesnt mean your a great player. KG is a great player but he never had players to compliment him. If he had parker and ginobili then minnesota would have gone to the finals instead of spurs. Duncan would not be as great as he is advertised without the rest of the spurs and greg pop. if duncan went to any other team he would not be #1

i know its something radical to say but thats what i think
