    He will work with individual players on offensive skills, primarily shooting, the team said Wednesday.

    Hodges played on the Bulls' 1991 and '92 NBA championship teams coached by Jackson. He spent 10 seasons in the league, playing for three other teams besides the Bulls.

    Hodges won the 3-point shooting contest at the All-Star game three times, and he averaged 40 percent from long-range in his career.</div>

    Very nice hire. I'm unsure of how great the impact Hodges will have on the Lakers will be, but I'm betting it's positive and positive is good enough for me.
