1.Spurs 2.Miami 3.Indy 4.Detroit 5.Houston 6.Denver 7.Phoenix 8.Dallas 9.Sacramento 10.Cavs What you think about my list?
I think the Suns argument deserves it's own thread. I still think Rock is wrong about Kurt Thomas, but I'll bite on the Eddie House thing. I just feel like with a consistent role, he's much more likely to get on hot streaks. I don't like Jim Jackson at all. He's scrappy, but I think he's somewhat garbage. Iceman- I like your rankings, generally, but what makes you think Dallas will be that low? Or, Denver that high? Swap Dallas with Denver and you'd have the only list I'd trust with Dallas that low. I still say Dallas will be one of the two best playoff teams. Other than the Spurs, no playoff team is as much in tact from last playoffs as the Mavs.
Spurs Pistons Suns Heat Pacers Dallas would be my top 6 and that order of this stage of the summer the rest don't really matter too much in terms of contending for an NBA title. Dallas lost Finley but Dirk continues to improve every year and wins 50 games with any roster. The guy is simply a stud. No matter what moves they may, Dirk will always have them contending with the top tier teams. They won't win it all but because of him they will always win 50+ and make at least the 2nd round of the playoffs.
AllNet "Spurs Pistons Suns Heat Pacers Dallas" I think the Rockets are legit, too, but we'll have to see. Rockin' list, except (as I will until the last game of our season) I still say the Mavs have what it takes this season.

Not convinced with Sura out they have enough at PG. All depends on Yao's improvement.
Dallas Before HOuston I don't know about putting Dallas before Houston after they lost FInley and Van exel . The team is not going forward but backward on their future. While houston is going forward dallas is going backward.

1. Detroit Pistons 2. San Antonio Spurs 3. Miami Heat 4. Houston Rockets 5. Denver Nuggets 6. Indiana Pacers 7. New York Knicks 8. Phoenix Suns 9. Seattle Supersonics 10. Los Angeles Lakers PERIOD.

I don't understand why everyone sleeps on the Sonics. We didn't lose anybody that we can't replace, the young core remained, Allen remained. Heck, we are the reigning Northwest Champs. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rock4life:</div><div class="quote_post"> Boris Diaw- who? This is what you get for Joe Johnson? From what I heard he can defend. When it comes to shooting, he couldn't throw a rock in the ocean. </div> He was terrific in European Championships - especcially in later stages. So you are just plain stupid if you don't know him or just ignorant.

I can tell from your list that this is your first year watching. Let me give you a few hints. 1. The Lakers and Knicks should not be on a list of the top 10 teams. 2. The Mavs are easily a top 10 team. 3. The Indiana Pacers had a great year last year, all while missing their second best player. Now that he is back, they will easily be better than the Nuggets, and probably the Rockets as well. Have a great season, and enjoy your first year of NBA basketball!
1) San Antonio Spurs 2) Miami Heat 3) Indiana Pacers 4) Phoenix Suns 5) Houston Rockets 6) Dallas Mavericks 7) Cleveland Cavaliers 8) Sacramento Kings 9) Denver Nuggets 10) Minnesota Timberwolves Honorable Mention: Seattle Supersonics, New Jersey Nets, Golden State Warriors, LA Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers and LA Lakers.
Minnesota a top 10 team? They really havn't done anything to increase their chances from last year to vault themselves all the way into the top 10. You also must be a Detroit hater if you don't even think they are a top 15 team.
1. San Antonio 2. Detroit 3. Miami 4. Dallas 5. Indiana 6. Houston 7. Denver 8. Phoenix 9. Sacramento These are my rankings. I believe the Spurs are the easy number one, and Detroit is right there. Miami might be second but I'm waiting to see how they mesh following all of their offseason moves. Im a Dallas fan but I think 4th is a legit place for them to be. I put Indiana slightly in front of Houston because they were an elite team before the brawl last year and in my opinion they will return to form this season. Houston will be a great team, and Denver should be up there. Phoenix and Sacramento will probably end up fighting for the 4th or 5th playoff spots. I didnt put a 10th because I really can't think of a 10th team that deserves to be mentioned as much better than the rest of the teams in the NBA. Well that's it.. enjoy
1. San Antonio 2. Detroit 3-4. Miami 4-3. Indiana Pacers 5. Houston Rockets 6. Phoenix Suns 7. Dallas 8. Seattle 9. New Jersey 10. Lakers (Kwame you better not dissapoint)
