I dont know if anyone picked up the game, but the rating are unbelievable, mutombo is rated an 81, so you cant take it to serious, but the Knicks are rated unbelievably low, but on the bench next to Houston, guess who is rated highest? My man Nate, he is rated higher than TT, Ariza and is almost close to QRich, Sweetney and Crawford. Has anyone picked up live 06 and if so do you know if the ratings of players are any better?
Live 06 does have better ratings by far... the best thing about LIVE 06 is the dynasty option where you can have assistant coaches work with your players so they improve their ratings... I have my coach working on channing on his defense and athletism. this is one of the best features I've seen on any sports game.
This should really be in the lounge, but with a few exceptions, I think the ratings are pretty acurate on the Knicks. The other players they're not so good. Michael Doleac a 77?? I don't like that.
Live is known for its terrible ratings. They gave Dirk a 86, when he was 3rd in MVP voting. Anyway, 2k6 is by far more realstic and fun than Live, including 24/7 mode, creating your own kicks, and the Association mode is SERIOUSLY DEEP. You get to be the GM of your team, create his body, his name, his face, and you're under the owner, who can fire you in a years time, so its accually like real life, a real job you need to get your team to the promise land. Besides, when you play 2k6, it feels like the NBA, when you play Live, it feels like your moving a bunch of lego blocks who can't make fundamental moves nor lay ups. lmao, who does a 360 dunk in the full court 3 times in a row on Superstar mode? PLEASE. And the first game I bought for ps2 basketball, was Live 2004, I liked it accually, but when I got 2k5, I was like wow, what an idiot I was for wasting so much money. Plus, 2k6 ratings are the best by far. Nate Robison, just edit his rating to 74 Tim Thomas should be an 55 Ariza should be 76 Lee - 72, I think he's lower though Fyre - 75 Houston - 75 The rest are good lmao, didn't they give Lebron a 68 in his rookie year? do you guys know what 68 means? Remember Lebron is a 22 6 and 6 player...thats like a bad -C, below average player rating, who gives all stars below average ratings? Plus, how come Superstars in Live can only average 22-24 points when you sim? and thats at most, you don't see Allen Iverson averaging 30 ppg, its usually the center or a random guy who gets alot of shot attempts. If you rank the order of shot attempts, you'll see its mostly big men, when it should be a good list of guards there (T'Mac, Kobe, Iverson) Anyway, if you still want to feel kiddy like, play the game just see Kevin Ollie do a 360 dunk, go ahead buy live. But if you want to buy a basketball game, go buy 2k6
lol i like that, except i wish wade and o'neal switched covers. I picked up 2k6 and I can't say that I am dissapointed, even just by looking at the back of the live 06 box, made me not want to get it. There are a lot of things in 2k6 that piss me off though, but im sure there would be more with live.
