I just wanted to know who you thought was going to be the defensive rookie of the year.

It probably won't be anyone on that list. Someone will come out of nowhere and win it. Some random 2nd or 3rd round pick...

I'll vote Demarcus Ware..no real reason just a guess...I think he could put up some big sack numbers...Oh and I wonder who voted for Thomas Davis... [IMG]

Derrick Johnson he was the best defensive prospect coming out of the draft in this decade perhaps. Nobody took him because they though he was to "fast" and would get layed out and nobody needed him. He's looked like a stud in training camp and most NFL anaylis says they'll be shocked if he don't win rookie of the year.

I agree with Pack, but based on the list, it will probably be between Rolle and Ware, based on scheme and how the team is set up. Davis would have more of an impact if they utilized him better, but due to injuries, I'm not sure if that will be the case or not. DJ can be good in the right scheme and disappear in others. We'll see.

well last year that wasnt the case it was between Vilma and DJ Williams last year both later first rounders. Vilma won it. i still think johnson according to Dick Vermeil he looks like the greatest linebacker hes been on the field with...ever. Thats a big thing to say about a rookie u've seen in training camp and in one preseason game. He must have really made an impression

I think Ware and Williamson are the most overrated players taken this year. Both come out of no where and jump the boards because of a good combine. Thats why the combine is overrated as well and thats why I am going with DJ.

Vermeil has been talking a lot of about Johnson, and I do think he'll be good, but I don't think he's with the right team to make a good run at it.

I'm going to be a homer and go with Johnson. Besides Vikingfan is just looking through Super Bowl 4 colored glasses. [IMG]

Beside Thomas Davis, i really think that Antrel Rolle is gonna have a huge year. I think he should have been picked ahead of pacman, because Pacman is a good corner but with bad personaty

Spears will not be the pick. His role in a 3-4 will be pivotal and one of the more important positions on the defense, but it will not give him the stats that the media craves.
