Troy Hudson Bobby Jackson Ricky Davis Stormile Swift Mutumbo Honorable mentions: Ben Gordon, Jerry Stackhouse
Gordon and Stackhouse being benched in favor of Troy Hudson and the oft-injured Bobby Jackson? Not happening. There are also guys like Jim Jackson, Earl Watson and Antonio McDyess who deserve to be on that list. Not to mention Robert Horry, Malik Rose, Tyson Chandler and Flip Murray.
I wouldn't put Stromile Swift on there, nor Dekembe Mutumbo, but I want to avoid another Stromile Swift argument. How about this lineup - PG - Bobby Jackson - I'm not really sure if he or Damon Stoudamire will start for the Grizzlies this season, but if it's Damon Stoudamire, then I can see Bobby Jackson making another run for 6th Man of the Year. Damon Stoudamire is a borderline liability on defense, so I bet that no matter who ends up starting, Jackson will get the majority of the minutes. SG - Mike Miller or Eddie Jones - Again, I'm not really sure if Eddie Jones or Mike Miller will start. I'd personally start Mike Miller over Eddie Jones nine times out of ten, but Jerry West loves Eddie Jones, so who knows how that'll end up. Either way, I can't think of a Shooting Guard that comes off the bench that's better than either one (maybe Ben Gordon; will he start this season?). SF - Desmond Mason - It looks like he could be a sixth man again this season with Bobby Simmons, but I'm not really sure about that one either. If Mason were in a less crowded lineup, like the Bobcats or the Hornets, then he'd probably be an All-Star. I can't keep him off this list. PF - Donyell Marshall or Drew Gooden - There aren't too many good Power Forwards that come off the bench, so this pick was easy. Afterall, Gooden had a breakout year last year (14/9). If they start the veteran Marshall, then I'm liking Gooden's chances to win the 6th Man of the Year award. C - Dan Gadzuric - He was underrated last year as a starter, and he'll probably be even more underrated this year if he backs up for Andrew Bogut, but I still consider him one of the top 20 centers in the NBA. There's not much to pick from as far as backup Centers go anyway. I found myself picking between Gadzuric, Ratliff, and Olowokandi.
Heres my list: Pg: Carlos Arroyo- Great scorer and showed good leadership in the olympics. Sg: Ben Gordon- An amazing scorer and Not sure if he will be starting this year, but until we know if he is starting he's on my list. Sf: Ricky Davis- Theirs a good chance he wont be a starter. He is a great scorer and a great defender when he puts forth the effort. Pf: Antoine Walker- I'm assuming that Posey and Haslem with start at the forwards for the Heat. C: Alonzo Mourning- Past his prime but is still a great defensive force and he is pretty good at offense. Pretty good lineup for all 6th men. Someone tell me if im forgeting a player.
Ben Gordon- if he improved his endurance he could very well be a starting shooting guard or off guard in the league. He is a explosive scorer, and will come up big in the fourth quarter he was in a elite group last season with I believe Kobe Bryant and Lebron James for most points in the fourth quarter. Not sure if that was it exactly or most times going over a certain number of points in the fourth either way he is clutch. Ricky Davis- Don?t like him really, but he is a good overall player, and a good player to have coming off the bench. He was one of the top vote getters for sixth man of the year last year, and would provide scoring and excitement off the bench with his athletic dunks. Andres Nocioni- A very underrated defender he could very well be starting on certain NBA rosters he has good scoring skills as well. He was called by some in the Bulls organization the toughest player in the league at a certain point in the season though I don?t necessarily agree with that he is one of the better bench players in the league. Tyson Chandler- After seeing him get that big extension I would prefer to see him start this season, and depending how the Curry situation works out he may very well be starting, but last season he was one of the best bench players in the league. He is a good shot blocker and defender, not to mention rebounder. He is a potential double double guy each night. Marc Jackson- A tough guy whom can put the ball in the basket.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rock4life:</div><div class="quote_post">lol..........we know who that was directed at</div> this coming from a guy who has a 6th man team that does`nt include current 6th man of the year BEN GORDON............take up tennis or something dude
PG- Bobby Jackson - If he can be healthy, he'll be glad to be back in a bench-rich team who will thrive off of their reserves. SG- Marquis Daniels - Yes, a crazy one, huh? I think Stackhouse will start, and Christie and Daniels will be fill-in reserves. Daniels will be better. SF- Desmond Mason - Will be a leader from the bench. PF- Antonio McDyess- It certainly won't be Darko. C/F- Darius Songaila - I know he's a PF, but the Bulls don't have a whole heck of a lot at Center, so I think a banging 6'10" big body can fit the bill.
as of now, Ricky Davis is starting bc Tony Allen will be out bc he just had surgery on his knee. Stromile Swift will w/o a doubt start, and Dikembe will not be close to in the runnings. Both Mike Miller and Eddie Jones will start, with Mike at the 2 and Eddie at the 3. I would have put Tyson Chandler in this line-up, but he will probably start at C. G- Shaun Livingston, Earl Boykins G- Ben Gordon, Raja Bell F- Desmond Mason, Jerry Stackhouse F- Antoine Walker, Donyell Marshall C- Nene Hilario, Alonzo Mourning
PG: Ben Gordon, excellent scorer in the 4th. He will probably start this year though. Bobby Jackson could be a good choice, but has had too many injuries over the years. SG: Ricky Davis: Has the athletic and scoring ability to be a starter, but probably is better suited as a major scoring punch off the bench. SF: Desmond Mason: Seemed like a Dwayne Wade before Dwayne Wade, unstoppable to the hoop, but not as good a shooter, pg skills, and leadership. PF: Donyell Marshall, the guy does all the right things when he is on the court. He plays tough defense, he can decently post up, he can really stroke the 3, and he isn't selfish. Another excellent 6th man is Robert Horry. C: Mutumbo, its incredible what the guy can do at the age of 53, and with Houston he looked like he was 23. Houston defense becomes amazing when this man steps onto the court. Nene is also a very good choice.
Assuming Gordon wins the starting job this year (which he will): PG: Bobby Jackson, Brevin Knight SG: Mickael Pietrus, Raja Bell SF: Ricky Davis, Desmond Mason PF: Antonio McDyess, Drew Gooden C: Nene, Zo
